I was going down the "what a waste of a beautiful Snellzilla game by Doval," then I realized the team is cooked and it doesn't matter anyway. Snell is building value and that's all that matters.

I'm still holding out hope that this year is just an aberration. But it still doesn't make it enjoyable to watch this year.

No. I did say "usually". Every closer blows a few. This is a bad team and they are going to lose some games like this.

I never liked his mound-persona. This year his mound performance meetup with that persona.

I am not ready to completely abandon him, but he certainly isn’t in any kind of protected class anymore.

I will say that Jackson is the weakest link in the bullpen but a decent argument can be made that Doval is number two.

12 straight innings without giving up a run I believ. If the Giants give up now they are crazy. If Ray comes back, that gives them three starters where they can expect to win each time through the rotation; not that they will win but you can reasonably expect a solid start from Webb, Snell and Ray
