Didi has been an average to slightly above average offensive shortstop for a couple years now.
Not sure why you wouldn't be a fan of Xander.
on porcello, fenway is killing him this year. 3.09 road ERA. 5.10 home. last year he was slighhtly better at home than on the road. hes at a 3.65 ERA over his last 14 days. porcellos problem overall this year is base hits and HR. hes given up 12!Yeah, Ill go with the Rick POrcello he has been his entire career, not the one outlier season last year
And it looks like the real Rick Porcello has arrived in full force here in 2017
And Drew Pomeranz needed 120 pitches to get through 5 innings last night
If you wanna count him, maybe ill tell you about CC's last 5 starts

Haha well Didi did that once. And if he "slaughters lefties" with an .831 OPS this year and .826 OPS last year against them then I guess Xander slaughters everyone. Not even a huge fan of Didi, but 20+ HR and 70+ RBI and slaughters lefties
Im more than happy with that, considering when this lineup is all together, he is probably a #8 hitter
Just dont like Xander for some reason, and its not my hatred for the Sox, cause Moooookie is my favorite player in the game
That looks worse than it is because he had his 1 horrible start there. In the other 6 starts at home he has a 3.79 ERAon porcello, fenway is killing him this year. 3.09 road ERA. 5.10 home. last year he was slighhtly better at home than on the road. hes at a 3.65 ERA over his last 14 days. porcellos problem overall this year is base hits and HR. hes given up 12!

Okay so you are just talking about his personality or something. That I don't care about.

For one, he's got a gay ass name.
Yeah he's hitting .326. Xander is hitting .325 overall this year so you would agree that Xander is slaughtering everybody.I know he bats well over .300 against lefties since the beginning of 2016
And at his age, it is quite possible he is still improving as an offensive player
well, you eed context. he had a couple of starts that got goofed by weather, one where he felt a twinge in the 3rd and left for precautionary reasons. 4 of his 11 starts have gone 6+. he had 2 starts with under 80 pitches, pulled. hes gone 18 in his last 3 (fanned 26), which is a 6 IP guy.I know, but he is mostly a 5 inning pitcher
So any effectiveness he is pitching with, is probably offset by the damage he does to the pen
Agreed, which is why ideally Sale gets lined up behind him as an innings eater and it can limit the damage. Porcello is probably the next best thing since he has consistently gone 6+ innings, so at least you will rarely tax the bullpen to the extreme in 2 straight games.I know, but he is mostly a 5 inning pitcher

For the most part, Pomeranz is going to put the team in position to win 60% of the time which means they'll likely win about 40-50% of his starts. Which I'm fine with as a 5th starter.well, you eed context. he had a couple of starts that got goofed by weather, one where he felt a twinge in the 3rd and left for precautionary reasons. 4 of his 11 starts have gone 6+. he had 2 starts with under 80 pitches, pulled. hes gone 18 in his last 3 (fanned 26), which is a 6 IP guy.
