Right now I am loving I traded him for Sano and Giolito last season... Granted Giolito has done jack but still

Yeah, "Right Now" after you yelled at me all season last year for advising you to jump on that deal

Always grab a potential everyday stud for a once every 5 day pitcher not named Kershaw

“At the end of the day it’s a game. You still have to go out there and perform and pitch well,” said Sale. “My guys allowed me to suck tonight.”

He also shot down the idea of the Red Sox offense “owing” him any kind of run support, which mostly hasn’t been strong so far in 2017.

“They don’t owe me anything,” he said. “Every day’s a new day. I’m appreciative of that. If anything, I owe them one.”

If this were David Price... He'd be all over the offense and pissing and moaning

Yeah, I hear ya, but the "Ace" type package they are seeking for him, Ive never seen him as that guy......All reports indicated they were asking the Yankees for basically the equivalent of what they got for Sale, which meant Torres +........Im just glad he isnt sporting a 6ERA in the Bronx
Yeah well of course they'll ask for that. This offseason I would say Sale and Quintana had the most trade value while being on a team that wasn't planning on contending.

Have to wonder what type of hit, if any, his poor season will take on the trade market...Quintana and maybe Cole will be in hot demand, be interesting to see if teams have concerns with Quintana or just see him as a change of scenery guy

Yeah it has to take some sort of hit. I'll be curious if teams like the Rockies are going to feel they are real contenders going forward (and therefore willing to give up more to get a guy for 3+ years) or they feel this is a flash in the pan opportunity (and therefore go for a cheaper veteran option as a rental). That could be the difference between giving up a bunch for Quintana and mortgaging a bit of the future, or giving up less to get a guy like Jason Vargas.

Also, gotta keep an eye on a guy like Sonny Gray again this year. Selling low last year didn't make sense for the A's, but if he doesn't improve soon it might make sense to cut their losses now.

The Rockies lineup is absolutely legit and their best starting pitcher is on the shelf, but that should be offset by a lotta guys pitching over their heads

For both those teams, there are so many bad teams in the NL to get fat on, that they both may hang in this thing

I think they'll level out. They aren't going to be 96-99 win teams this year like they are on pace for. I wouldn't be surprised at all, however, if they were the two wildcard teams in the NL. If I had to put my money on one, it would be the Diamondbacks. Just feel that Grienke, Ray, and Walker are better bets than Senzatela, Freeland, and Marquez

I say Rockies stay and the DBacks falter.... I can't see the DBacks pitching keeping it up

I wish I played with more people who thought like that. I'd win a lot more money.

What does being an everyday stud have to do with anything? Doesn't matter if you only pitch once every five days. That same set of rules applies to every starter. Your pitching categories count for just as many points as your hitting categories do.

An everyday stud hitter can't help you with your pitching categories.

No and maybe.

Colorado will never amount to anything. They can never win on the road and they can never pitch at home.

That formula will never succeed. Ever.

Real simple...With the rate pitchers go down, combined with the occasional stinkers that they all throw up, Ill draft a couple of top pitchers and play the waiver wire all season with pitching

You are finding faaaaar more help in the pitching dept all season, than you are real offensive studs....

I won my league last season, drafted a few top pitchers, many of them dissapointed, and get major help on the waiver wire, grabbing guys like Aaron Sanchez early on, Jamex Paxson a little later on....Those types of guys are available every single season
