Span - cf
Belt - 1st
Pence - rf
Crawford - ss
Arroyo - 3rd
Panik - 2nd
Nunez - lf
Hundley - c
Blach - sp

For all our caterwauling about Gorkys, his slash wasn't too much worse than Span's. Consider:
Hernandez - .179/.258/.238
Span - .200/.245/.280
Span didn't hit well in spring training either. He's to him being healthy and to being more productive this go around.

Nice to see Span having a good game, after I threw him under the bus.

So Crawford comes off the DL and immediately is at #4? OK

Well, the incoming home run leader sits on the bench tonight and the guy who tied him has to stay at the 2 spot. It was either Crawford or Nick Hundley.

Strickland and Law must really like Melancon, because they really seem to want him back in the bullpen as the closer.

I not only want a LF, I really want a CF. Did you see the "triple" that Gennett hit? Span was back at the track, and admittedly had run a long way, but he should have caught that. Span jumped and the ball landed under his arm. :L

And so what should have been the first out turns into the winning/losing run.... :tsk:

He was a triple short of the cycle. Maybe he got confused and thought the triple would count for him.

Funny. Did you see the play? He was there in plenty of time, and did not have to jump. I get that the lights and whatever wind there was made it less than routine, but still.
Nope, I'm watching the box score but not the game.

So basically, the Giants lost the game, and the primary person at blame is guy who had 4 hits.

Only the Giants can figure a way to make that happen.

When you lose often you have to get creative about it. Otherwise, the losses just get boring.
