It is nice to see 5 guys in the lineup with an OPS of .800 or higher (and 3 with an OPS of .900+)

Davis!!!!!!!!!!
Giants up 6-1

A few years ago, when J. D. was an up and coming 3B for the Astros, I flew from Stockton (Allegiant) to Mesa for the Fall League. I sat next to J. D. Davis' dad. He was going down to meet his brother, (J. D.'s uncle), and surprise J. D. Well, it was a happy surprise reunion, for a brief moment. In the 4-5 games Mr. Davis went to, I think J. D. was 0-15 with 8 K's and a couple of GIDP.

Mr. Davis was rather glum on the flight home. He got off the plane, glanced at his phone, and got a huge smile on his face. Evidently, J. D. had hit two home runs and a double in the game his dad and uncle did NOT see!

J. D. is a Sacramento kid, so he's been on my radar ever since. Glad he is doing well so far with his hometown team.

I wondered why he didn't get more playing time with his teams.

I think it was a good call to overturn the call at 1st but it was close enough that I'd be okay if it stood.

Taylor Rogers has been historically good. Sean Hjelle, I hope, gets good. But why would you warm either right now with a 3 run lead and 2 runners on?

Whew! Giants up 6-3.
I wouldn't be surprised if DeSclafani is done but I hope he gets to at least start the 6th inning. Most of that stink in the 5th was not him.

Talk about a tale of two games for the Giants. They crush Lorenzen, a righty, in the 1st 4 innings and do nothing against Holten, a lefty, for the following 2 innings.
