Slaton, the virus is going to infect us all, it will still be here 5 years from now. TB is killing people at a great rate. I ask in all seriousness, when do we live life again? Many universities are opening in person classes. That was the metric a month ago. There is no effective vaccine in the pipeline, do we all starve to keep from getting the virus?

Candidly I am not sure....I think there will be a therapy by end of year but you have a pretty large Anti Vaxxer community that will not be interested in any therapy... Candidly hoping the Russians who think they are on to something now is for real and I guess we start there. They plan to immunize now without going through a 3 phase clinical trial....but even if it is the silver bullet I am sure the QANON community will say the Russians have the final solutions to wipe us out! :lol:

But I hear you....my kid is a rising Junior stuck at home for the fall semester...should be one of the best years of her life and she realizes it and knows its wrecked....ugh....no good answers...just wish we could come together as a nation and at LEAST TRY and listen to the experts...its working in South Korea, India, China, Italy and others that were hit early in this...why can't we follow their path to mitigate?....ugly times my friend...

Monongalia county just announced that local public schools will be holding in person class for ALL students K-12. Parents who don't want their kids to attend have been given the option of home school or cyber charter schools. It must not be that bad if it's ok to put minor children directly in the path of SARS-Cov2.

There was already an an outbreak in a grade school in the midwest in the VERY first week classes opened....

Just heard that WVU has already had 81 new cases last week. BTW, none of those count in WV or mon county numbers. Also, multiple cases at a single institution now count as only one case. So that nursing home with 48 cases and 8 deaths now counts as only one... In order to reopen, our government is now choosing to ignore the problem.

With UNC shutting down in one week of classes ...you have to know that is the tip of the spear....just can't wish this stuff away...

In the first week of class, WVU detected 107 positive individuals. There are also six students facing expulsion for holding large house parties. They estimate 13,000 students on campus. So it's less than 1%. I wonder how quickly it will spread, and if WVU plans to continue mandatory testing. Those 107 individuals have likely passed Corona to others prior to going for their test.

Heard a clip of an interview Tony had with Shane Lyons. When asked what season ticket holders' options were for not being able to use their tickets, the AD asked that it be left as a "donation". After which he cited a $20 million loss due to the pandemic. When Tony pressed, Shane did say that they would issue a credit if desired. Or a refund

I watched the first college football game of the season last night. Not very good football, but at least it was football.

Looking forward to watching WVU play in less than a couple of weeks.

I've enjoyed watching the number of deaths continue to climb in our country too. I'm into winning. And, our country has put ourselves so far out in front in terms of cases and more importantly... deaths... there is no way another country can catch us now.

My hope is that we reach 300,000 deaths by the end of November, and not have a fucking person in this great country of ours give a fucking shit.

Come on all you stupid fucks out there... don't let me down now. Keep going to bars. Keep packing house parties. Don't wear a mask. Spread this shit, and let's get it on...
