hes never playing in the nfl again.

Two word response to that.

Aldon Smith

It wouldn't bother me if you're spot with that...Brown left a lot of stench in his wake, imo deserves that fate you mentioned. But this league is very forgiving.

smith is 5 years removed at 30.

brown would be 5 years removed at 36.

also, aldon smith didnt piss his way off of 3 teams in a year. i think the league has said all they need to, when arians said "no thanks" (tho hed be redundant anyway) to his super team.

"doesnt fit our locker room"

thats the theme.

Still, nobody expected to see Aldon lace them up again...I know I didn't.

Piss...yes, but with all of that, Brown would be on a team right now if they thought the commish would let him play...it's the off the field cases keeping him off the field.

Like I said earlier...wouldn't bother me in the least if he never plays in the NFL again.

Don’t know if I’ve ever seen such an elite talent throw his career away like this. I’ve seen with breaking the law or substance abuse, but not in just being a bitch to deal with

Pure case of runaway ego.

Never in trouble with drugs, etc. but as his success grew, so did his ego and self control went the other way...I think at least one of the gals he's in trouble with, wanted to be in that relationship at some point, but other stuff like throwing furniture off a balcony (could've killed someone)...total lack of self-control.

Forcing his way out of PT and OAK...he thought he was above it all....lol

Terrell Owens comes close.
Close, but not quite. Randy Moss is the closest, but that was when he was already on the decline at the end of his career anyways. Probably would have happened sooner if Belichick didn’t take a shot on him. He’s not remembered fondly in Oakland

Eventually, none of these guys is remembered fondly anywhere. Of any of the teams that Brown was on, Pittsburgh fans probably had the most favorable opinion of him. And that's mostly because the team cut ties with him and his meltdown came later.

Brown might play again, but it'll be for a crap team on a limited contract. The end will look a lot like Owens and Moss, where they played their way off bad teams.
