Yup, and that was a great hit. Shoulder to chest. All Bledsoe had to do was step to the right but he was trying to play hero and got laid out. Doesn't that remind us of a certain someone?
zactly.

why i brought the play up :suds:

I really have not watched many Chiefs games. I got to say that Mahomes is playing like a bad ass for sure. That TD run against the Titans was a thing to behold and was the play of the game. Hopefully he continues against the Niners

Remeber when 30+ points scored in a game actually meant something significant? Not dissing Mahomes here, I really like the kid and he is great but damn, the 31 point thing is utterly meaningless and the kid plays in one of the most talent laden and dynamic offenses we've seen.
The rule changes have benefited QBs and offenses. When Marino and Montana played QB took helmet to helmet shots and were tossed around like rag dolls.

Jimmy G has never lost in the tourney as a starter.

I'd take that stat personally.

Didt see nothing as " head fakes, sl tiptoes or broken tackles"... But only faked missed tackles!

I concur that the TD run looked scripted. However, if the league now wants to make the Chiefs the premier team in the league I would not mind. The Kansas City fans have been through more heartbreak over the last 50 years than anyone.

for fucksake. it wasn't scripted.

Right now this kid is playing on another level from the rest of humanity, which is largely why I'm going with the Chiefs to win the SB. Normally, I'm a defense-first kinda guy - you know the old cliche, defense wins championships - and SF has one badass D. That front seven is as good as any in the NFL. But I don't see even them stopping Mahomes and that incredible offense.
San Frans D has had a little trouble with mobile QBs this year but they have also had plenty of practice facing Wilson and Murray twice and also Jackson. I do think the Niners need to score more than 30 to win because I think KC will still score on them. Too many weapons and too good of an offense to shut down completely. But yeah, that front is pretty awesome. They will need to be great and get in Mahomes grill all game long because the secondary can be beat. It will take every trick Sherman can muster because no way does he gave the makeup speed anymore and Hill and Watkins are both way faster. The other side of the secondary will need to really step up too. The Niners really haven't faced an offense this good and JimmyG will be called upon to do a lot more than hand the ball off, I think. We will see but I am really hoping the Chiefs win going away.

Should be eyeing his 2nd SB. If not for that off-sides penalty.

Mahomes is good, no doubt, but he is a system QB. Hell, even Alex Smith looked great in KC.

Alex Smith Stats | Pro-Football-Reference.com
Andy Reid's really good, true. Won't deny that.

Mahomes also put up better stats than him when he was hurt most of the year and missed about 2.75 games with other significant injuries on offense to boot. Offense is pretty healthy now.

If you added Mahomes' playoff stats and regular season totals, he'd have these stats:

4646 (!) yards

34 Passing TD's

37 Total TD's

5 INT's

324 rushing yards

4970 total yards.

System QB my ass.

Did this:

There was a time after Peyton retired where the question was, "who's going to take over for the Great QB's like Brady and Manning when they retire?" (not Rodgers). Good news for football fans, you are seeing the early career of Mahomes and it is likely to be a great one. Someday we'll be arguing about the GOAT again.....
