App St players are mad because they have a Coach leave 2 straight years

Good hire for Mizzou. Bryan Harsin was my #1 choice, but he seemed to want to stay on the West Coast

Fair enough. I guess it won’t hurt any
Honestly, I would've taken a high school Women's Volleyball coach over Odom. You lose to Wyoming, Vanderbilt and Tennessee and get blown out by Georgia, Florida and Kentucky then that's the bottom of power 5 play.

My criteria was an offensive minded guy with head coaching experience. I wasn't too picky beyond that

Ya boy is definitely a risk, although 90% of all coaching hires these days have a ton of risk.

Eli was a position coach under Harsin and then became our OC for one year before heading to NCS. Very smart dude

I like the hire and he should keep you a top 10 defense.

I wonder if that guy is related to Kinky Friedman?

Ahhh, Kinky. Should have been guvnah of Texas. IIRC, he is also that one that sang the satirical song "I'd love to be an asshole from El Paso".

They Ain’t Making Jews Like Jesus Anymore is his best work. Crazy bastard just released a new album too, and it ain’t bad.

He had a bunch of funny ones...and several of 'em were about politics so I'll refrain from puttin' on here. And a lot of his stuff was 100% irreverent. IIRC when he was running for office he said something like, "Where else are you going to find a candidate (Cowboy Jew) that is for both prayer in schools AND abortion."

Besides the one your referenced, some of my favorites were "I was so high I needed a step ladder to scratch my own ass." and “You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose, but you can't wipe your friends off on a saddle.”

Hadn't heard about the new album. I'll have to check it out.
