I will add, that this team was penalized a lot pre-snap the last 2 years, and many of those penalties have disappeared this year.

Except for Bolles being a penalty whore I have noticed the amount if penalties (without looking at stats) seem to me to be way down.

Well I know this might be crazy but I would much rather take a Garrett Boles holding penalty than Bolles giving up a sack because at least we get the down back. Like if you watch the Bears game, Mack could’ve had a shit ton of sacks but Bolles decided to hold him and take the penalty instead. Now obviously you want him to not do either but penalties are the lesser of two evils in my mind.

There is another group of RFA, but in looking at the UFA, I feel that Simmons is at the top of the list ..

Simmons has the rare combination of intelligence, NFL physical abilities, and, after every game this season, he took it upon himself and the defense to deflect blame from the Flacco-anemia of the offense -- the ultimate team guy, humble, and he's just coming into his own and showing that he is an excellent fit with what Vic wants to do ..

All things considered -- age, how they fit, and difficulty replacing them -- I think Simmons should be at the top of the priority list

I think this is pretty much common sense.

but the reason he holds is because he gets beat. Nobody is tired of him holding over giving up a sack. People are tired of him having to hold because he continues to get beat.

I would take this list and just move Connor McGovern down under Wolfe and before Gotsis.

I am thinking keeping some continuity on the Oline would be huge. The Oline has not great but hasn't be horrible either. There are times they look dominate.

Statistically Chris Harris is not having a good year. Neither is our pass rush. They go hand in hand. Hopefully we can re-up Harris at a good price
