Did I screw the pooch with this trade?

Traded Ekeler for Cousins.

Goff has been sucking it up lately, so I wanted to have options.
My RB's are: Barkley, Gordon, Coleman, Lindsay and Edmonds, so I have plenty of options at RB, and it appears as though Gordon is going to become the bell cow again in LA.

yes you did...

as a Gordon owner, you would have had that backfield covered no matter what... Barkley is still out, for who knows when(they say after the bye- but who knows if that is correct)…

Coleman is in a committee, and Edmonds is the backup, just like Ekler…

You also Traded ekeler the week of a Terrible game... You never do that...

and all you got was a QB that has only had 2 good games this season(sure it was the last 2)…

Sounds like a panic, after the Rams had the worst game of the season, and will likely remain the worst game of the season...

Meh. Cousins is a spot start QB and Ekeler is a spot start flex. Personally, id rather have ekeler, but if you need a qb, it’s not bad.

I don't think trading Ekeler is your issue here...it's what you got for him. You didn't even get an upgrade imo. Goff hasn't been good but consistently above average until possibly his worst game of his career. Cousins numbers look better bc of the last two games, we all know that won't last.

I'm sure you could have gotten more for Ekeler especially if you traded him a week before but either way his value has gone down in recent weeks.

Yeah man, should have kept Ekler. That said, I snagged Cousins fer one goddamn game and I didn't expect that motherfucker to do THAT good. Now I'm wondering if I should hold him and stream the 3 QB's I have on that team. Bastard!

EDIT: But I know.............................IT"S A TRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cousins is nothing more than a spot starter because he's so inconsistent but ekeler's touches are obviously going way down now. if you had very few choices to get a back-up Qb then i suppose it isn't horrible.

Good grief, those options are so abundant that makes it worse. And this is coming from someone who's more fond of Cousins as a player than most are.

Gordon owners of all people should value Ekeler because he was a top 3 RB when Gordon was out. Now in 2018 it was a somewhat different story, so I would likely split the difference in projected expectations if it happened again. The guy busts his tail off. Would you rather own a player you'd often flex who is an insurance policy with huge upside or that same flex player as someone who might turn into a lottery ticket for you?

You gave away Ekeler for zero upgrade. Cousins is a spot start QB. You could play the waiver wire and matchups week-to-week doing just as well.
