IMO Ed Oliver has very high bust potential. I think he will fall a bit before the draft too. He doesn’t have great measureable and he has some red flags.

Everyone is looking for the next Aaron Donald. The talent level is so similar now a days that it really comes down to luck picking the right player.

For the right system .

Look at all the players that did so good and then went to different teams and bombed .

Jacksonville is going to cut a 3rd Denver Bronco this offseason that IMO would be still hear and coveted . Jackson

Players should think long term.

In the nfl , it’s not if but when you will be injured so without guaranteed contracts there is no such thing as long term

The one thing interesting to me about this Bronco's draft is if the Broncos draft resources tilt more to the defense or to the offense. My prediction is that Fangio will sign more D FAs than Offense guys, but the draft will be in the reverse - favoring the offense.

I assert this for no particular reason, but because I can.

Mingo you may be correct but I am hoping for there to be a balance in both free agency and the draft.

One thing I found interesting with the mock offseason I posted was the number of CBs acquired. I think there was 2 in free agency and 2 or 3 in the draft. I don’t think the secondary is in that bad of shape. We need to move on from Stewart and if we can sign a guy like Collins that would be huge. We will need a CB in free agency or early In the draft to compete for the #2 CB spot with Yaidom with the loser being the nickle corner. We also need to draft one to develop.

I just think Fangio knows which guys available in FA would best fit his defensive schemes, but maybe not instinctively know which guys may be needed on offense.

NFL = Not for long.

Anyone would be a fool not to take the money. Most of these guys came from bad places and are helping as many as they can get out. Your first free agency you go for the money, if you hit it big, then on that 3rd contract you can get fancy if you want.

They do, $$$.

IMO you lose money seen over and over. Wolf will still be with the Broncos. Jackson will be playing for peanuts this year. he will not have a long term contract and that means bounce his family around again if he can pull a good season out on a prove it contract. If he is just okay he will be playing the rest of his time on cheap contracts.

Well, he did get 3 years of great money but I don't get the today thing. Get in the wrong system and you are not going to make most of that big contract.

I will say this Jackson came out better than I thought. I was thinking 2 years

Addressing the biggest needs:

- QB: Look at Rypien-type in later rounds or just wait until 2020 class.
- OT: Sign one of Daryl Williams, Trent Brown, or Bobby Massie
- DB: Draft DeAndre Baker in Round 1.
- DE: Draft one of Christain Wilkins, Dexter Lawrence, Jerry Tillery in Round 2.
- NT: Draft one of Isaiah Buggs, Ed Alexander in Round 3. (Wilkins, Lawrence, and Tillery can also play nose)
- TE: Draft Irv Smith in Round 3 (if available) or Draft one of Kaden Smith, Mitchell Wilcox, Alize Mack in Round 4 or 5.
- G: Draft Darryl Williams in Round 3 (if available) or Draft one of Beau Benzschawel, Alex Bars, Ross Pierschbacher in Round 4 or 5.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Brett Rypien and Easton Stick each threw a touchdown pass to help the West beat the East 21-17 in the East-West Shrine Game on Saturday.

Rypien, a Boise State product and nephew of Super Bowl MVP Mark Rypien, was 10 of 14 for 134 yards.

Stick, from North Dakota State, completed 5 of 8 passes for 51 yards.

Purdue's David Blough had two touchdowns and 149 yards on 10-of-15 passing.

Rypien connected on a 22-yard scoring strike with LSU's Nick Brossette during the first drive of the game.

Nebraska's Devine Ozigbo had a 2-yard TD run midway through the second as the West took a 14-0 lead. The score was set up by a fumble return by Michigan's Tyree Kinnel.

Right now Baker is the only CB I would take in the top 10.

What do you all think of Byron Murphy, CB, Washington?

Comparable in size to Baker, excellent in zone coverage. I know the Stiller fans are talking about him in the 1st round. Depends on what Fangio plans to do with scheme. Baker is the more physical, press-cover corner, but Murphy has the better downfield speed.
