12 teams, PPR, bonus points for TDs over 40 yards. Start QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE), K, P, 7 IDPs. Keep 2 offensive players every year.

My skill pos players...

QB - Brees
RB - Bell, Conner, Collins, ADP, Lynch, Ingram
WR - Tyreek, Crabby, Crowder, Corey Davis
TE - OJ Howard

His skill pos players...

QB - Mahomes
RB - David Johnson, Ajayi, Derrick Henry
WR - ODB, Michael Thomas, Amari Cooper, TY Hilton, Golladay, Mike Williams
TE - Ertz

I know he has turned down a package that included Fournette for Beckham, but he is interested in dealing. I think he wants to get a RB and is willing to give up a WR. My question... should I just keep it simple and try to do something like Lynch or Peterson for Golladay? Something like that? Or should I swing for the fences and try to get maybe David Johnson and give up a couple of RBs? I figure I probably have to give up Conner in that deal, if not Bell. But imagine if I could put DJ and Bell in the same lineup heading into the playoffs...

I could also try to pull one of his better WRs, but that may require a little finagling. We can add next year's draft picks to the deal, where I am loaded and he is lacking. I have an extra 1st (his), 2nd and 4th, while he is lacking his first. He has said he would entertain getting picks back to make up for that.

It is worth noting that he is probably falling to 0-3 this week. I have a dog fight going with another 2-0 team that will come down to Monday night. It could probably go either way, but I am up by about 15 or 20 right now. Point is, he will be in panic mode. I talked to him last night just to gauge how he feels about his team and he is not down on his luck and still feels he has a very solid team and his record reflects on bad luck. I think that he is right in that assessment. I was talking to my old roommate and biggest rival in this league and he also agrees that his team should easily make the playoffs and could easily be undefeated if not for some lucky (or unlucky) bounces.

I'd probably try Collins for Hilton or like you said, Lynch for Golladay.

Can't see him wanting Bell being 0-3.

But Conner, Bell, Crabby for ODB or Thomas and change sounds pretty. (Good luck trying to pry away MT)

Whoa there!

Unless the change includes Pat Mahomes, that would be way too much.

You have a shot at 3-0, keep Bell and Conner. There is always a chance Bell gets traded and you end up with 2 studs.

I like the idea of a smaller deal for Golladay or Hilton.

If you want a small deal get Mike williams.

But I'd go big and swing your rbs into odb or Thomas.

I traded Thomas to him in the off season, so I doubt he would move him. Possible, and of course I will look into every option.

Who do you suggest I offer for Mike Williams? I could look to the ww for someone similar to him, I feel.

I forgot to add a big piece of information after reading this again. Someone dropped Doug Baldwin last week and he is on the wire. According to our rules, nobody can pick him up until our waiver period begins (shortly after the MNF game tonight). We then have a blind bidding period where you have 24 hours to put your claim and bid. I plan on bidding a large amount (he could go for $20+... thinking about bidding $25 or so.) If I do get Baldwin, should I still look to make a move of any sort with this guy or should I play matchups with Crabby and Davis (and maybe Crowder, but I may have to drop him for a IDP bye week).

He looks like a big part of the Chargers redzone plans. Tough to find touchdowns on waivers.

Get Baldwin.

Pay for it.

Maybe the injury lingers, but if he's Wilson's #1 option all year then you aren't going to find a better WR to spend that money on.

I chatted with the guy about potential deals. Long story short, he feels like the only "blockbuster" people I have are Conner and Bell. I agree with that. I think (not 100%, but close) that he feels like the only "blockbuster" people he has are Michael Thomas and Mahomes. I told him I wasn't looking for Mahomes, since I have Brees unless it evens a deal out. He made me make 2 different offers. I offered Lynch for Golladay, which he didn't reject, but said he was thinking about starting Golladay now. I then jokingly said he could switch Golladay for OBJ and I would be fine with that, too. He laughed. Then, he said he was interested in Ingram and I ended up offering Ingram and my 4th round pick for OBJ and his 11th. He said he would think about it more and get back to me. I am at work and he will be here in about an hour or so. I'm sure we will pick up on it where we left off.

Well shit if you can get odb without giving up bell/conner I think you already know to make that happen.

agree completely - if there's a way to swing Odell in a deal and not take a major hit to your roster, DO IT

I would hold onto your extra 1st and 2nd round picks for next yr tho - that's where your winning ticket lies for next year's championship run - I feel like its a monster advantage in keeper formats to have a few extra early round picks after so many are taken out of the pool before the draft begins

Funny note on that. There were 2 guys with pretty heavy early picks this season. One guy had 3 1sts, 1 2nd and 2 3rds. The 2nd guy had the #1 overall pick and 4 2nds. They are a combined 1-5 after three weeks and the 1 win came this week over one of the worst teams.

I still think they will probably be playoff teams, but still. Also there was a team that had no picks until the end of the 3rd round. He is currently 3-0. He is me.

So, I had another thought. The guy who has Zeke is sort of new to fantasy football. He is improving, but not there yet. He kept Russell Wilson over David Johnson this offseason. He is also the guy who dropped Doug Baldwin.

His team...

QB - Wilson
RB - Zeke, Clement, Gio, Cohen, Aaron Jones
WR - Garcon, Ginn, BMarsh, Hogan, Jermaine Kearse
TE - Burton, Njoku

My skill pos players...

QB - Brees
RB - Bell, Conner, Collins, ADP, Lynch, Ingram
WR - Tyreek, Crabby, Doug Baldwin, Corey Davis
TE - OJ Howard

I ended up getting Baldwin, by the way. What if I offer him 3 of my running backs that do not play for the Steelers for Zeke? Maybe throw in a pick to sweeten the pot if I have to? Would give him depth? Or would I have to include Conner to pull that off? Maybe Davis or Crabby if I have to? I would have to get back an even amount of players, so I am sure I can get one of his TEs in the deal. We actually discussed a deal on draft day for him, but he balked. He would have won the deal so far.

Sounds cheesy...definitely throw in a pick or ywo.... Not like you're missing those picks this year.

Collins, AP, Lynch, Davis, 1st, 2nd.

Always...ALWAYS...swing for the fences!!

Could end up like this:

But it could also end up like this:

In any case, it is just so much more satisfying. :)

So the dude in the OP has told me that he wants to carry all 6 of his WRs and he is fine trotting out Derrick Henry and Jay Ajayi every week at RB. Dude with Zeke wants to trade me Tarik Cohen. Not quite working out the way I had planned.

Been contacted by two other teams about a similar deal. Both want a RB2 for a WR.

Team 1...

QB - Watson, Ben
RB - Barkley (no chance), Drake, Jordan Wilkins
WR - Adams, Juju, Gordon, Fuller, Keelan Cole

Team 2...

QB - Brady, Mariota
RB - Barber, Kerryon, Jones, Crowell, TyMo
WR - Diggs, Allen, Kupp, Anderson, Watkins

Team 2 was dangling Kupp or Allen for a RB on the main board. We chatted separately afterwards and he is not interested in Lynch, but is interested in Conner or Ingram.

Team 1 gave the generic WR2 for RB2 swap. I told him I like Juju and adams. He said adams is possible. He has not given me any names of my RBs he is interested in.

I'm thinking about offering Ingram and a pick for Allen. I may do the same for Adams. I'm still a little off on Allen ' s injury history, but he seems to be consistent this year and last. The guy with Adams has been known as a stickler on trades in years past. The other guy is brand new to my league and has some experience in overall fantasy leagues.

In case it helps to have all this in one place.

My skill pos players...

QB - Brees
RB - Bell, Conner, Collins, ADP, Lynch, Ingram
WR - Tyreek, Crabby, Baldwin, Corey Davis

And the guy in the original post, now wants to pick talks back up. I have a feeling he would be talking more about TY Hilton that anyone else.
