Hey fellas wish me luck today driving back from Colorado. Went to. NIN concert at red rocks and holy cow red rocks is a special place. Concert was good too. But man red rocks is awesome.

Drugs are a problem in Colorado. Very sad to see people in the shape they are in.
When I actually lived in Nebraska in the 70's, I lived west of Scottsbluff...used to get to Red Rocks occasionally, it's only 200 miles from where I was. You are correct; it's a fantastic venue for concerts. Most of the acts I saw are no longer around, or they are dead, sadly. Some more memorable shows there were J J Cale, Commander Cody, Jerry Jeff Walker, Amazing Rhythm Aces, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Those were good times!

Graduated from Morrill HS in 76! LOL! We always played Lyman in Basketball...Wouldn't let us play 'em in foosball; would have been too much blood. In those days, we were class 'C', and Lyman was class 'D'. It is some real nice country around there, for sure. I spent many enjoyable hours in the Wildcat Hills. Lots 'o history in that neck of the woods, too. Oregon Trail, Ft. Laramie...Sorry to hear about your sewer troubles! LOL!

Gotta love those small-town joints. The food is made with that extra special ingredient...RESPECT. Respect for the customers and respect for the food. Ate in a whole lot of those places, and worked in a few. The American small-town cafe, The stuff of legend, and many a cheesy C&W song! And, usually some damn good eats!

In my next life I will live in a small town way out in the country.

Cuz the weeds are high, where the corn don't grow.

Sounds great! I'm a sucker for good Chicken Fried Steak. When I lived in AZ, there was this little cafe on the edge of Bullhead City that did the best I ever had. They had their own steak cuber, and made everything from scratch. The breakfast came on two plates...the steak completely covered one plate, and the eggs & spuds on the other. Ridiculously huge portions, at a very reasonable price. Didn't make it work, though. It's right across the river from Laughlin, NV, and it's almost impossible to compete with the casinos. Why pay more for excellent food, when you can hit the buffets for almost free, and get all the slop you can choke down. Just proves the old saying...Location, location, location.

Yep...those buffets always remind me of feed lots! BTW, that desert around there is some pretty awesome country as well, if you can appreciate it. I actually lived in a little town up in the ridge of mountains, east of the river. Gettin' my kicks on Route 66! A five minute walk from town could put you in some wild-ass country, with some of the darkest, starriest night skies you can imagine. I remember one full moon night, with a huge moon rising and the Hale-Bopp comet almost as bright. One of those once in a lifetime views.

sounds like a great scene --- reminds me of the full moon I witnessed out in the Indian Ocean 100 years ago

Best part of the Wisconsin game being at night is that it is on BTN and not nationally televised.
