I was going to say no. But on second though, we should deal him while he might still have some value ( I got that from another poster). His production has dropped off, and we should try and get something for him while we still can.

If a team is offering a 2nd or a 3rd? yes. Breeland didn't seem to fit anywhere last year. Too small on the outside, too slow for the slot. He won't be cheap to re-sign, another market value situation. He did well for a 4th rounder though. Besides, there are a LOT of DBs with high ceilings.

You only trade BB if you get offered some crazy deal you can't refuse (hint: a 2nd round pk is not a crazy deal you can't refuse) Or as G said. If you believe you won't be able to re-sign him.

The kid had 2 solid or better seasons at CB. At times against #1WRs. You don't get rid of playres like that because of a down year.

What makes BB have 2nd round value after the year he had? For a team already missing a 3rd and 4th it makes no sense for Miami to roll the dice like this, at the same time probably not a great idea for Washington who also has uncertainty at the position.

I think we remember the "game" he shut down Dez, and look at him as an above average corner.
Until the defensive line is upgraded I believe he is just average, and yes he had a bad year in 16.
Although the dolphins giving up a 2nd is a stupid scenario...to play along, I'd jump at that offer. We have depth at that position, Fuller should have a great training camp and will probably see a lot of time outside this year.

Fuller is still unknown and I see Carlos Rodgers and David Amerson if we trade Breeland. And I can't see Miami giving up a 2nd anyway.

Which is exactly WHY I think we actually might deal him if some one calls with an offer. The only thing our owner and a portion of the fan base like more than a winning season, is an exciting off season. Dealing Breeland means we likely draft another CB early in the draft, or sign some one elses big name free agent.

There is a reason why what should be one of the most NON-complicated off seasons in recent Redskins history is lining up to be a complete WTF moment. The owner and team President want the headlines, and the fan base feeds off of it. A drama free off season is Ashburn is like dry white gluten free toast.

We cant have that.

The organization does make tons of questionable decisions with the roster, most notably the QB.
But in this particular case, a 2nd rounder for a 4th rounder that may walk is good business.
Looking at CB depth, with good coaching -- Dunbar, Fuller, Simon, a draft pick, etc --
they should be able to handle WR2 duties. The 2nd round pick could then be used for another area of need or BPA.
If a healthy Fuller, can't win the starting gig with Breeland gone, then he was a wasted pick.

I think a few of you have unreal expectations.

As for BB, how much of the issue was caused from game 1 of the season?

Why do you post as if Snyder is still in control looking for a big splash? This hasn't been the case in years.

I agree about the expectations, as I said Fuller has done nothing to lead us to believe that he can be a good starting NFL corner,.

It hasnt really backfired in years you mean. Five years to be exact. Norman was some what of a big splash. Snyder still owns the team and thats who he is. Scot has been here for two years. So lets not proclaim a two year mostly behaving phase as having turned over a new leaf just yet.

Norman and DJax were the only big name signings this team has made in many many years. Virtually every team had signed a few big names in that time frame. Both became available unexpectedly and they jumped on them, it's not like they huddled up in February and tried to target guys who would sell tickets. You sound like the uninformed Eagles fan who still claims Danny is pulling the strings. Stop living in the past, we have had 3 GMs in place who acted on their own with few big name moves other than the much discussed RG III trade since Danny was in charge of personnel.

I don't think we should trade him for less than a 2nd. And I don't think we'd get that from anybody.

the question for me is would he start for a strong contender, I'd say probably not, I'd take a second for him, don't see it happening.
