You think Melo is going to rebound? Seriously???
Melo is a great rebounder at his size/position.

Yep. Minny typically plays well against the better teams. And well with the Cavs being the defending champs they are going to give them everything they got.I'm nervous. It seems like the Cavs schedule right now is a steady stream of... how did Carlisle put it... "shitty teams, but underrated shitty teams".
in the grand scheme of things- if tomorrow LeBron pulled a hammy and was out a month- and the cavs finished with the 4 seed would it really matter?I'm nervous. It seems like the Cavs schedule right now is a steady stream of... how did Carlisle put it... "shitty teams, but underrated shitty teams".
Over his career he's only averaging 6.6....that's not great IMO. There's guards in the league that are rebounding better.
melo is def. one of theb est rebounding SF out there typically....He averaged 8.1 a few years ago, 7.7 last year. Fantastic numbers for a 6'8" forward.
Effort is definitely an issue with Melo, but I would be fairly confident that the Cavs would get as good as effort from him as any team ever has.
Tbf, if it were LeBron's first time joining two AS's, I'd say what Durant did was way worse.
But, because of the fact that he'd already done it in Miami, it's pretty even, imo.
If Kobe would have left LA and decided to join up with like say- McGrady and Amare on the Bucks or something- i would say that is VERY different then it would be if he left LA to go to say- the Spurs and join Timmy, PArker and MAnu in their primes coming of a championship and a Finals appearance or say going to join KG, Allen and Pierce in Boston right after they won a title/and or got to the Finals.
joining 2 all stars that have little (or NO) playoff experience i think is VERY different then joining 3 all stars coming off a championship and a Finals appearance......if you dont think so- like i said- hey- everyone is welcome to their own opinion.

yah imagine how rejuvenated he would be going from the dumpster fire in NY to Cleveland- its the one thing that makes a trade intriguing if you ask me.
he wanted a backup point guard man.
LOL thanks for telling me my thoughts.....hahahahahahaNo you wouldn't. No one is buying any of this.
And he would have a role that he's never had before: Catch and shooting, both from mid-range, and from 3. He would also be available, of course, to iso and get a bucket when the situation called for it, but mainly he'd be playing off-ball catching and shooting with space.
Melo's shot is one of the best out there. IMO, his efficiency would skyrocket in that scenario.
LOL thanks for telling me my thoughts.....hahahahahaha
hey- your welcome to your opinion
i just cant reconcile- 2 all stars with 0 playoff experience simply, does not equate to joining 3 all stars coming off a championship and a finals appearance in consecutive years....
but- hey- whatever floats your boat. I think you know deep down the two dont NEARLY equate either![]()
when KG and Allen joined Pierce in Boston- each was a lot further on in their career- and had gotten their brains beat in for a whileDo you actually see him accepting a diminished role like that? Look how difficult it was for Love and Love wasn't as ball dominant as Melo is.
I suppose it could work if Melo could accept such a diminished role, but it seems too late in his career for that. If he could though, if it didn't make the Cavs the favorites, they'd be a pick 'em with the Warriors.

Your thoughts are all over the boards. You simply have zero ability to be rational when it comes to Lebron and the Cavs. Let's not pretend that you haven't been told that by virtually everyone.
yah adding Crawfords long term deal seems like the exact type of thinga rebuilding team would look to avoid....
its almost why i hold out a little hope that a Frye/Shumpert/Felder type deal would be possible- but thats only if Carmelo really plays his hand strong and forces his way to the Cavs--- frye only has 1 year left- and Shumpert is at least young, on a reasonable deal- and a former NY fav.

i think at that point- in your early 30's - if you havent yet had succss- its a lot easier to accept a lesser role then it is to do so at age 27 or whatever in the middle of your prime.
i dont think he is going anyhwere....i think he will be traded in the offseason. If he wants a legit chance to win, he will go to the Cavs.
If he wants to keep his wife happy, he will push for the Clippers.
Forget Chris Paul.
The Clippers are not winning with nor without him.
dude....2 does not equal 3
0 playoff experience does NOT equal championship experience
those are facts- not anything based on opinion. lol.
i mean- anyone can easily surmise just by common sense that 2 does not equal 3....that zero playoff experience does not equal championship experience.
thats as objective as one could POSSIBLY be....
being told you are not objective by someone saying joining 2 all stars is the same as joining 3 all stars- and joining a team with basically no playoff experience is the same as joining a team with championship experience does not compute in the slightest.
but as always- everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
