So Lebron never actually explained why Barkley was wrong(because he was right). He just threw it off as Barkley being a hater. Lebron took it wayy too far in my opinion, but at the least I've always said that I'm sick of him being passive aggressive, and maybe this is the end of that

lol...waiters signed towards the end of free agency becauses if he didnt he was gonna be playing in China it looked like....you act like Dion Waiters had options.

And Dion DOES look very good at times- especially when running an offense with the ball in his hands--- but the bad thing about that is- you arent winning shit long term if Dion Waiters is dominating the ball on your team. Its kind of the same with Dragic---- solid player- but needs the ball in his hands, and you arent winning on a high level if Goran Dragic has the ball in his hands a lot.

Waiters should get a nice little raise - but no one is gonna break the bank for him or go long term with him.

He signed for what? 3M?

At the time he said why he chose the Heat.
You have NO CLUE if he had other offers.
Unlike JR and Tristan, my best guess is he could have gotten more.

James made this bed by overpaying his posse.

Warriors added Durant, and no surprise, James now is in fucking panic mode.

He knew the salary cap.
He knew where the Cavs were $$ wise.
Him bitching is just that.

very true..... he had nothing to say back to Chuck in regards to the actual issue- so he got angry and personal.....you see a lot of that going around. lol.

i agree with you on the passive aggressive stuff- id much rather see him speak his mind then act passive aggressive and whiny-

it should be entertaining- but in the end- all LeBron has to do is flash his rings to make Barkley look like a fool.

It came down to more than just money for Dion Waiters.

That much is obvious, as the free agent guard signed with the Heat for the $2.9 million room exception. He reportedly signed a two-year, $6 million contract that includes a player option for the second season to play for Miami despite getting better monetary offers from other teams as a skilled 24-year-old scorer.

“Dion is not a Room Exception player,” team president Pat Riley said in a statement. “He wanted to play for the Miami Heat and chose to forgo other more lucrative financial opportunities to be a part of our championship organization. We are very honored that he made the commitment to come to South Florida and sign with us. Dion is young, athletic and explosive, which fits in with our roster. He will add a great dimension for us at the off-guard spot. I really like the depth and versatility that we now have in our perimeter positions. Welcome aboard Dion!”

Lame.
Is Barkley arguing he is/was a better player then James is?
Then you would be correct.

He's saying James in this instance is a whiny bitch, which is very accurate.

Dion signed on July 25th. His opportunities were drying up faster than Barkley's credit at a Las Vegas casino.

Just saying. lol.

All you have done is earn the right to gamble on Dion Waiters since he is not opting in---- at best you can sign him for something between 8 and 12 million a year.....at worst he leaves and did nothing but hurt your chances to get a high pick in the lotto with this irrelevant winning streak.

Say dion waiters gets iman shumpert money- 10M a year- right between 8 and 12......say the Heat give him that- 3 years 30.....

that ASSUMING BOSH IS GONE- brings you up to over 70M in salary committed to next year already. Thats before Johnson's salary spikes from 6M the follwing year 19M next year (putting urgency to not wait- and to make your moves THIS free agency cycle). the Salary cap is expected to be 102M.

So- if you bring back this SAME TEAM LESS JAMES JOHNSON- next year- and letting James Johnson just totally walk in free agency- you have ABOUT $30M in cap room- assuming everything to Bosh goes as planned (even though there are already rumbles of the Bulls having interest).

in the 2018/2019 season the Heat already have obligations to Dragic/Whtieside/Tyler Johnson of over 60M. Does that sound like a good idea?

You're going off point.
Im not saying hes some great player.
Im not predicting he stays.
My point was the Heat culture is a real and respected thing.
Too many misfits have grown and thrived here for it to be a coincidence.

As far as Bosh, lol.
Maybe wheelchair ball so he could avoid contact.

your wrong. he went to Miami becuase his options were somewhere between limited and nothing. If you remember- the Thunder renounced his rights late in the game- and he was stuck in free agency with no home and no offers. Finally he had to take a 3M dollar deal- and i think he was smart ot take it from the Heat- becuase he knew he would have the opportunity to play and have the ball in his hands that he wouldnt have on any other team.

I think he has done a great job using the fact that the Heat had a pretty terrible roster to get a bunch of playing time and re-establish his value- and Riley didnt protect himself with anything but a 1 year deal. If you think Waiters is going to take anything less than the most he is offered this summer- you are crazy.

Im wrong?
Did I write the article or speak for Riley?
Either believe it or not, who cares?

And where did I imply he wont take the most money , anywhere?

Youre doing nothing but trying to put words in my mouth and deflect the only snd original point that I made.

i mean its just wrong. Waiters had to be furious that the Thunder rescinded their RFA qualifying offer WEEKS after free agency started when practically everyone else had already found a home. By the time he was actually a free agent- free agency had already been going on for weeks and the vast majority of teams had already made their moves/committed to other players. etc. I mean thats just common sense.

again- i think he was very smart to take a deal from the Heat- where he knew he would get PLENTY of playing time, the opporotunity to have the ball in his hands.

he has re-established some value and will hit the market in the Summer having used the Heat for what he wanted- to get an opportunity to play and re-establish his value.

Then he should have accepted it.
Thats on him.
Still has nothing to do with my original point about Heat culture.

He is costing us lotto balls.
Players play to win.
Heat plays to win.
It is what it is.

You know this how? Waiters told you this? He signed with Miami in late July. He could have waited if he really wanted to. You're making it seem like he signed in September.

I think your original point is just fluff every team spouts at press conferences. Trying to change the narrative that Waiters was pining to come to Miami because of how great they are- is nothing compared to the fact that- he was out of options due to being dumped into free agency weeks after it started- and Miami was an ideal situation for him to re-establish his value.

Im surprised Riley didnt at least protect himself with like an 8 million dollar team option or something for year 2. Instead- its likely - unless the Heat want ot invest a multi-year deal. that all he did was drive up his dollars and push you guys down a few lotto slots.

you think Waiters is on the Heat if he was a UFA on day 1 of free agency?- its possible- but certainly not probable.
