Nice to get the monkey off our back. Just like the one point loss in Cleveland didn't "matter" neither does this blowout. But I think we can all agree the Warriors can beat the Cavs (and the Cavs can beat the Ws). There's really not much more to say about the matchup. Hard to see any other Finals this year, and then we'll see. I just hope both teams are at full strength.

1 thing I take from this game is that Korver can't play significant minutes, unless the Cavs are fine with substituting his offense with him getting destroyed on the other end

He won't get as many when Jr Smith comes back

Not sure how much I'd be banking on JR this year.
Between the injury and the sad situation with his daughter, who knows?
Any updates on her?
Can babies born that premature make it?

I love how Lebron say it is not a rivalry but these 2 teams refuse to ever shake hands after the regular season game

"It's not a rivalry" -Lebron James, quickly hiding his "Ultimate Warrior" t-shirt

If Golden State/Cleveland is not a rivalry, then there has never been one in the NBA. The only thing lacking is a lengthy history like the Celtics and Lakers have. Still, recent results make up for that.

LBJ for some stupid reason is always afraid to admit he has a rivalry in the NBA. You played the team 19 times over the past 2.5 years. Each one a playoffs series. If that's not a rivalry then like you said there has never been one in the NBA.

The scary part about the Warriors is their explosiveness.

Over the last year, the Cavs and Warriors have played 10 times:
  • Warriors won 5 times, by margins of 34, 15, 33, 11, & 35 (avg 25.6)
  • Cavs won 5 times, by margins of 30, 15, 14, 4, & 1 (avg 12.8)

Also, shout out to KD for that block on LeBron.

I was sure it was a foul until I saw the replay.

i think his point goes to a couple things- 1. How much rosters change- I mean- the Warriors leading scorer wasn't even on the team last year. 2. It just hasnt been that long yet. 2 and a half years ago the Cavs were one of the worst teams in the league and no one thought Golden State was going to be a "super team"....can a "rivarly" really come to fruition after basically 2 and a half seasons?

Yes. If this is not a rivalry then there's never been a rivalry in the history of basketball.

Well I personally considered the 2008-10 Lakers vs Celtics matchups a rivalry, and we only got 2 Finals out of that. Not to add that the Warriors/Cavs seem to hate each other just as much as those Lakers/Celtics teams did

Even though you're a Lebron fan boy, you don't have to agree with everything

So, Mccaw should be checking in soon.

Maybe coach was sparing Wiggy from having to see McCaw run game on his boys. :dhd:

I heard a sound bite of James saying he doesn't view these things as rivalries because there is so much turnover in rosters.
He said he couldn't compare it to Lakers/Celtics, etc..

Is that not the most ironic thing he has ever said, since he was the one who started the trend of roster jumping?
