I like the Taggart/Leavitt combo a hell of a lot better than Helfrich/Wilcox. They will turn it around - it's not like they had a 0-12 season and building from there.

I really like the move. I think getting Taggart on the cheap (relatively speaking, rather than hiring someone like Mullen) and opening up the checkbook for a DC (and possibly other assistants) was the right decision. I'm not sure what the expectations are for next year but I really like where this is headed.

Solid hire by the Ducks. If the Ducks offense stays close to the same and Leavitt can at least improve the defense to something close to average, the Ducks should be bowl eligible next year and possibly back in the hunt for the PAC the following season.
