Bad coaching

Gruden or whoever called the plays was awful today. Hopkins had a horrible day. I know the defense couldn't stop dallas but you do not onside kick with 6 or 7 minutes left in the game. You just lose all momentum. You do not go for two at the beginning of the 4th qtr. You do not put Kelly in wildcat formation and take the ball out of KC hands in the redzone. We were outcoached on both sides of the ball. I feel bad for Kc b/c he played outstanding.

It looks like we will be fighting for a wild card.

I did and I agree with ebh5. Just chill. We got beat by an overall better team. Not much better, but until we can stop a good running team, we will lose more of these games.

Gruden, puts the defense in the a hole by kicking the onside kick. Plus attempting a 55 yarder when Hopkins couldn't even hit a 43 yarder. He did no favors to this defense today. His redzone play calling was horrible. Kelly in wildcat is the worst call of this season.

I had zero problem wth the onside kick. What makes you think our defense could have stopped them if we kicked it into the end zone and they started on the 25? All that would have most likely occurred was a 75 yd drive that would have eaten up more precious time and a score by them. We had to try something to flip the momentum. Since Prescott doesn't appear to make any mistakes, a turnover wasn't really expected.

They did a decent job against Elliott today. He didn't give this defense at chance at all.

We did flip the momentum with the Jackson TD. You have to give your defense a chance. They have a higher % of stopping Dallas or giving up a Fg then a onside kick.

You sure about that? They scored on every drive but 2. Thats better than an 80% score rate. So it was HIGHLY unlikely we could have stopped them again. We could not stop them running..Elliot had 97 yds at 5 yds a clip. Prescott had almost 50 yds by himself. That is our problem.

Once again bad coaching. Barry did not spy on Dak with Cravens on several 3rd downs where he beat us. Its the 4th qtr you have to give your defense a chance. So an onside kick has a better success rate then the defense holding them to a FG? Cmon. that is bullshit.

The defense won 4 out of 6 games this year in the 4th qtr mind you and Gruden just threw them under the bus. that was the game!!!!

You're right dean. We lost because of bad coaching. I'm sure a good coach could turn ziggy hood into the best run stopper in the league. But he would first have to teach him not to get driven 7 yards downfield on known running plays.

Yes that is bad playcalling that falls on coaching.
