...and Michigan is behind Louisville on that list.

Agree. But we just watched Louisville need a last minute drive to beat a Virginia team, and out of the Wisconsin game, Michigan hasn't really broken much of a sweat.

You have to look at the whole picture.

But again I'll say, I think the committee did this as a wake up call for everyone to start playing at least one power 5 team that is projected to be in a bowl game (or ND).

I hope you are right....but I'd rather see it be two P5 teams in case one of those you described went in the toilet between the time the game was scheduled and when it was actually played. Nebraska probably thought they were getting a schedule boost when they scheduled Oregon. Didn't know the duckies were turn into a bottom feeder in the PAC 12 North when they got around to playing the game. Could still happen scheduling two bowl projected P5s but the odds would be better.

Same thing happens when the regular conference power teams turn to shit for a year or two. Washington is really not getting any SOS help because of how shitty Stanford and Oregon are this year.

I think too many people were looking at that game as a good win for Arkie...which turned out to be fool's gold. TCU isn't very good. Look at their results against might Kansas and Texas Tech! This may turn out to be one of Patterson's worst teams!

It's still better than any win from a Washington opponent outside of Utah & Stanford.

I don't think you can punish those that scheduled Oregon, Stanford, ND or all the other teams that are typically very strong opponents, just having bad years.

But when you're best OCC opponent is Rutgers, I can't feel bad for you.

Maybe, but Oregon is pretty equivalent to TCU IMHO. TCU and Oregon would be a close game. Not necessarily a good game, but a close one. Both are shitty this year.

As far as the Tribe goes, I feel more confident today than I did yesterday. I'm hoping like hell the Cubs blew their wad. That said, I don't think I can handle needing to come back from 2 down in the 9th. I can only get so drunk.

:suds:

OK, the tribe can blow their doors off. I don't care as long as the cubs fall in dramatic fashion. Good luck.

Remember last year when TCU rallied by a ton of points and beat the Ducks in that bowl game????

Good Times right there!

I agree they shouldn't be punished for attempting to schedule well. But they don't get the SOS break just for their effort when those teams turn to shit.

And Rutgers is a P5...which is why you need another one IMHO. Quite a few shitty P5 teams.

Washington has 10 starters on defense that are projected to get drafted according to Pro Football Focus. Washington has the #1 scoring defense in the PAC and the #1 scoring offense in the PAC.

Ohio St had a shit ton of players drafted last year, they were absolutely loaded but they lost 1 game by gw FG. Doesn't mean shit honestly. Now, if you are talking about how they have looked on the field, they have been impressive, no doubt. They still haven't played a tough schedule to this point.

That's why i said a P5 that will likely go to a bowl game at worse. UW has business playing Rutgers as their OCC P-5 opponent.

Outside of Ohio everyone associates the Tribe with Major League.

So Arkie's win over 4-4 TCU is better than Stanford's win over 5-3 KSU? Or Stanford's win over USC?

There is a high probability that Rutgers was better than UCLA when those deals were signed. You can UCLA is usually better, but intent tends to have a slippery slope

A&M's win vs. Auburn is better than Washington's win over Utah
A&M's Win vs. Tennessee is better than Washington's over Stanford
A&M's win vs. Arkansas is better than Washington;s win over take your pick from Washington's schedule (they are out of teams with a winning record)

So Arkie's win over 4-4 TCU is better than Stanford's win over 5-3 KSU? Or Stanford's win over USC?

No, I did not say that. I said outside of Stanford and Utah.

I originally listed 3 wins A&M had that were better than Washington wins. (I know it's all transitive property stuff, but that's what we have to go off of.) I listed Arkansas as A&M's 3rd best win and no one other than Stanford & Utah on WU's schedule has a winning record or semi-quality win. The "Who has Arkansas beat" was the argument I got and responded to.

1. Bama

2. Ole Miss, they have the best 5 loses in CF, just ask E$PN
3. USC lite, they beat Tenn, who everyone said "they're back".
4. Does it matter, E$PN will push for two SEC teams. Plug UF and aTm
