He is also a WS champion

Geniuses Showalter and Maddon are not. Neither is The Beanius.

You can be a moron and still be the manager of a WS winning team. See Ozzie Guillen.

Seriously though, it's refreshing to hear a Giants fan say that.

Produce for me one example of a Giants fan who doesn't know that. Any Giants fan that knows baseball knows they were the underdogs in every single postseason series including the wild card play in game for all 3 years. So what? We got the rings, and that's what matters. Not being the best regular season team, ask Cub fans in about a week.

Yost cost the Royals the 2014 title when he didn't go to his big 3 relievers in the middle of game 4, and let the Giants get back to 2-2 instead of 3-1.

Managers matter in the postseason.

Yep, managing sometimes matters in the postseason, but sometimes even a moron can manage a winner.

I like what he did in the ALCS, where after they dropped game 1 to the Angels they then won the next 4, all complete game wins, 4 in a row. That will never ever happen again in the history of playoff baseball. Especially with how bullpens get used now.

I was rooting very hard for a comet to strike during that series.

he is such a fucking douche

smarmy motherfucker probably listens to U2 and Coldplay

I like the Pixies and all, but anyone who doesn't like U2 (1980-1994) is literally too stupid to live.

After 2004 it was probably no bueno to get swept by the shitty White Sox the next year in the playoffs

It did suck. Getting swept by the Angels in 2009 sucked too, though there was some pleasure in watching Papeldouche blow it.

Honestly, I can't say I was very bitter when the Sox got swept by the Indians. Been a bit spoiled by 2004/07/13 and I'd be happy to see the Indians/Cubs win it. It was just nice to see them give Ortiz a final shot in the postseason. I'll be very happy if Francona or Theo get another ring.
