Doesn't UW lose half their defense and their best offensive player?
:badmin: And no, their best offensive player is Browning and he will very much still be a burr in the saddle of the Pac next season as well.

Ross is their best offensive player, the newb keeps telling me since he is the all American receiver. Of course Browning will be back but I was wondering about your defense. Defense is what wins the Pac 12 title unlike the B1G and Semi Educated Conference those are determined on which team has a QB with a pulse.

Ross is extremely talented, but by far our best offensive player. If he declared, I'm not sure how high he'd be selected, he's still very raw.

Can he burn any CB in NCAA over the top? Certainly. Is he a terrific kick returner? No doubt. Can he do anything other than run a go route or a post route? Not really. His route tree is still extremely underdeveloped. He's a great player, but right now the Huskies best player on offense is Jake Browning. Ross's playmaking ability makes him a strong candidate for 2nd best, but he's sort of a one trick pony on offense.

My dad went to tOSU.

If that Fiesta Bowl happened, it would be a very uncomfortable week leading up to that game with the phone calls. Both of us would be faking being nice to each other and not trash talking. Someone would break the implied code of conduct with some words, and then........woah nelly.

We lose King, Jones, and Baker. But we have one of the deepest secondary rosters in the NCAA. It will be a experience hit, but we got talent to fill those spots and not turn into a Duck like train wreck back there.

Not sure if Ross will declare. He could probably benefit from another year before going to the NFL.

Yes, the early loss hurt. If you played Utah again right now I'd favor USC by at least 10. Utah's defense is fine, but I really don't have any faith in Williams at QB and what little of their offense I've actually seen so far this year I wasn't overly impressed with. It's been their defense keeping them in games.

I could see Utah losing to UCLA on the road, UW at home, and Colorado on the road. More or less I'm not going to give them the ASU game on a platter. Colorado has @ stanford and Utah, and home against WSU and UCLA as potential pitfalls.

USC really has @ UW and @ UCLA left. I don't see them losing to ND and they should easily handle Cal and Oregon.

I think SC has an outside chance at the Pac12 south if it wasn't for @UW. I don't see Utah losing 4 in conference, not sure what happens if somehow Colorado, SC and Utah all lose 3 conference games.

Depends on who they lose to. Right now Utah has tie breaker over USC , USC has tie breaker over Colorado. Utah needs to lose a few.

I think we all had a bad feeling it was going to be another ACL tear. Hoping all goes well and he has a speedy recovery. Burnett will need to step up. SC may want to get Pittman involved more . I would lalso ike to see them get vaughns some playing time they are the future

I'm just glad we've seen the last (hopefully) of the Kiffen /Sark days of throwing to only the star receiver.

It is good to see them spreading the ball around again. Its also nice to see them getting the TE's back in the passing game. They do have depth at wr , And I like the element Darnolds mobility has added. It just sucks to see Mitchell go through this again. He's had rough luck.

Its also nice to see SC playing defense again. Last year may have been the sloppiest defense I've ever seen at SC. It was unbearable to watch. Aside from some busted coverages and a few lapses. I love the aggression in the play calling. And the D line and LB's have been a pleasant surprise

No Rosen tonight. Well that and UCLA isn't that good this year? :noidea:
It's not that the Bruins aren't that good this year, it's just they haven't been good enough when it counted.

The Bruins were looking to tie or take the lead on their final drive of every loss this year vs teams with a combined record of 19-6.

It doesn't get any easier, the Bruins need to win 4 of their next 5 just to insure they will go bowling:

6-1 Utah
5-2 @ Colorado
2-4 Oregon State
4-3 USC
3-3 @ CAL

They can do it with just a little better Offensive line play. However they will most likely need to take the next three, and split the last two, or split the first two and take the last three. If they can't go 5-0 to close out the regular season, of the two scenarios I've listed, I would prefer the latter of the two. :rolleyes2:

I wasn't trying to diss on your team. There are lots of reasons why teams fail to live up to expectations or otherwise fail to win games. UCLA has once again been bitten bad by the injury bug and certainly that's part of the story. I haven't watched enough of UCLA's games to make any sort of criticism of the coaches or any particular under-performing player. Maybe I should have said this UCLA team so far doesn't appear to be unbeatable, particularly in close games.

Really looking like it's going to be either Colorado or USC from the south, and USC has a bit of an easier road plus the win head to head.
I don't know why so many her are dismissing the Utes? :noidea:

Utah is 1 yard away from being 7-0 (3-0) missing on the game ending TD @ CAL.

In a lot of ways they are like the Huskies, except they didn't squeak out this win on the road vs a team they should have handled easily enough.

But y'all know how them PAC road games can go sometimes.

Didn't think you were Wiz. And the real story is the lack of talent on the offensive line. When your team has negative rushing yards at the conclusion of one game (ASU) to lose by three and allows 5 sacks in another to lose in OT (Tex A&M). I think its safe to say where the blame lies.

From what Ive seen I completely agree. UCLA's ground game has been majorly struggling. I think they have also been majorly inconsistent. At times they seem like they can move the ball at will. But that also seems to be as a result of the passing game. When Rosen has had time. I know UCLA has had a lot of injuries. But whats going on with the O Line?Is it injuries or are they just ut of sync?

The defense has also looked very lax at times. I know they lost some big time players to the draft. But they have also shown glimpses at times too. Is it a coaching issue? I'm hoping they work their problems out. Looking forward to another great UCLA/USC game regardless. The victory bell will always be one of my favorite games

I'd be fine with ucla going 4-1 during that stretch. I might even cheer for them against Utah and Colorad.... no I won't.
