tl:dr (sorry @TigerBait1971 )
Alabama (5-0) - Very High, The Crimson Tide remain the team to beat in the SEC West – though the next three games (Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas A&M) will be the toughest part of the schedule. However, as we all know by now, the season doesn’t start until Alabama loses.
Clemson (5-0) - Very High, We like the Tigers’ schedule better than the Buckeyes. Clemson took control of the ACC Atlantic race with a big win against Louisville, and a win at Florida State would all-but lock up a trip to Orlando for the ACC championship game. We like the Tigers’ odds.
Ohio State (4-0) - Very High, No team is playing better right now than Ohio State. The Buckeyes’ have surrounded J.T. Barrett with playmakers, and the defense has come around. As always with Urban Meyer, everything operates on an accelerated timetable. The Buckeyes will get tested a few times, but this is the best team in the Big Ten right now
Houston (5-0) - High, All Houston has to do is keep winning... if they win against Louisville later in the season it would most likely put them in the "Very High" Rating.
Michigan (5-0) - High, Michigan still has questions on offense and in the kicking game, but the Wolverines are on schedule with second-year coach Jim Harbaugh. The defense is operating at a championship level. Road dates at Michigan State, Iowa and Ohio State are the biggest roadblocks.
Washington (6-0) - High, Washington has the look of the best team in the Pac-12 after knocking out the defending conference champions last week. The Huskies are efficient on both sides under third-year coach Chris Petersen, and now it’s time to break the 12-year losing streak to Oregon.
Baylor (5-0) - Almost High, Baylor looks like the best bet to win the Big 12 as one of two remaining undefeated teams, but a close shave at Iowa State made us think twice. The Bears still have to go to Texas and Oklahoma, and one loss would probably knock them out of contention.
Texas A&M (5-0) - Almost High, Texas A&M’s door is open right now. Wins against Tennessee and Alabama the next two weeks would put the Aggies in the top spot. Trevor Knight is playing like a Heisman Trophy contender.
Tennessee (5-0) - Almost High, Tennessee is the most semi-charmed team in the FBS is right here. The Volunteers have battled back from four different double-digit deficits this season, and now they have a tall order in winning at Texas A&M. Still, Tennessee is in the driver’s seat in the SEC East, and that means they are very much in the College Football Playoff hunt.
