It's the way we have lost that concerns me.
Definitely what is most concerning. Penalties, lack of physicality, execution and discipline...not ok

Yep, Danny Boy has created an aura of shite about many things.

As to social media, I agree its a big factor these days no doubt. Do like the upside in terms of access to players/info but the obvious downside is players who are young and share too much and troll/hot take sources.

Social media is a huge problem in all types of media these days. Used to be you were supposed to verify your stories before writing them. Nowadays they go with story and say sorry or say nothing when they end up being wrong. Hell they mislead folks all the time with half stories.

The penalties and poor tackling have been crazy. Kirk's timing is obviously off. One could point to Gruden basically holding him out of pre-season, but if Krik gets his knee blown up in the Jets game, the fans and local media are calling for his head.

Beginning to be more worried about how we plan to cover Cruz and Shepard at this point. Shepard in particular out of the slot has been money for Eli so far this year.

Not at all. And I think we are asking for the same thing, just in respect to different players. Bottom line, if we lose this weekend I expect people to start calling for every ones heads.

Well you know that you always have my respect. Otherwise, I am afraid that you might sick those dogs on me.

So now it's being reported that the reason Norman didn't travel in the first two games is because Breeland was offended by the fact that he wasn't trusted to cover Brown and Dez. Cooley and Kevin espn 980.

Not sure what's worse, if not true it means Barry is an idiot, if true it means he's letting one of his players dictate the game plan at the expense of the entire franchise.

Remember, Breeland was upset when we signed Norman. The lockeroom appears to be on the verge of imploding yet again. The Giants game is a must win for so many reasons.

Well if Breeland keeps playing in the same fashion then he may be even more offended when they get rid of his ass. Time for him to step it up & stop worrying about looking good or how he is used by coaches.

I didn't have us making the playoffs this year for a bunch of reasons. I hope I am.wrong about that. The Skins still have not lost a game I thought they would win, so 0-2 bothers me because I hate losing, but I am not in any way surprised.

It's the way we have lost that concerns me. I wanted to see Kirk pick up where he left off, not regress. I wanted to see a Scot FA class work out for a change. I wanted to see Barry put the best guys out there, not his guys, or Scot's guys. Most of all I wanted to see if the culture change was real or just a byproduct of winning. We all know winning cures all. Two losses and we already have finger pointing and massive locker room leaks.

This is how I had us pre-season.

7-9 OK, you and my brother agree on wins and losses this year. I have them finishing at 6-10 so it's just a matter of a game's difference. The thing that the three of us have in common? We all hope that we are wrong in our predictions from a positive point of view. We all would like Kirk to step up and be the guy but let me ask you this question.....With a prediction of 7-9 how did you believe that part of that would mean Kirk would have another banner year?

For the record I expect that he'll have a decent season, numbers wise, but in a game where the bottom line is win and losses our team is not there yet.

I know this was to some one else... but my honest take is we finish in the 4-12 to 6-10 range.

Having said that Kirk will finish with around 4200 yards passing 28 TDs and 15 INTs. The main knock will be, well he couldnt bring us wins when we were behind in the 4th quarter. And i expect we will be behind in the 4th quarter alot.

Shark, I believe that everyone here knows that I see Kirk as a good field manager and not the franchise QB most here seem to crave. I'm still reserving any further assessment of him until the season is over, after all I was among those who insisted that the team tag him in a prove it type situation. Just wanted to make that point, but the bigger point that I want to make concerns the current back and forth relating to where the blame lies in the current two losses. Maybe we should look at HOW this team has won. That said here's last years wins and margins of victory:

St. Louis Rams W 24–10

Philadelphia Eagles W 23–20

Tampa Bay Buccaneers W 31–30

New Orleans Saints W 47–14

New York Giants W 20–14

at Chicago Bears W 24–21

Buffalo Bills W 35–25

at Philadelphia Eagles W 38–24

at Dallas Cowboys W 34–23

Anybody notice anything? Especially points allowed and margin of victory? This team is NOT a shootout type team, nor is it a team heavily reliant upon its' QB to beat teams and that's proven by the 20 point average given up by our defense.

I will simply say this. While alot of people are not going to admit it, Franchise QB has become a euphemism for Elite QB. So if Kirk cant be elite, he isnt going to cut it.

But your how we won argument holds weight. And if you look at the Seahawks, the last place our GM was, Alot of their games are won by 7-10 points. And while many here have proclaimed Wilson a Franchise (read as elite) QB, the Seahawks are doing it the way we should be. Balanced offense, Good defense.

I thought he would have a good to great statistical year based on the weapons around him, being the guy all through ota''s and camp this year, but the schedule is just much harder this year. Kirk played well last year, but still didn't beat a team with a winning record. This team is so deficient on the defensive side of the ball, Kirk pretty much has to be perfect for us to win. If he misses guys, throws red zone int's, and keeps settling for FG''s after failed onside kicks and turnovers, it's gonna be a real long year. I was counting on Kirk and this offense to get us to 7 or maybe even 8.

I still think Kirk will make it through this. Honestly, with the right pieces in place I think Kirk is the type of QB, you could win it all with.

We used to KILL Rypien in this town. Fat, clumsey, stupid, choke artist, goofy, etc.........you remember the rap he had. Joe, Doug, and Mark are legends in D.C. now, cause they got the ring and got it done. Period. All three if these guys faced a lot of adversity. Theismann was returning punts, Doug was out of the league, and Mark was a walking disaster and a fumbling and interception machine. Growing pains......I think that's all it is. Too early to get down on Kirk. He's gotta pick it up, but it's real early.

Right now Kirk is on pace to throw for 5600 yards if we keep this up. The law of averages says he has got to start hitting on some TDs eventually. SO lets say he ends yp with 4200-4600 yards passing, 25 or so TDs, and IM gonig to give a nod to the Kirk sucks ass crowd and say he throws 16 INTs total

4500 yards 25 TDs and 16 INTs would statistically not be too bad a year.

Kirk can play man. When you throw it as much as we do there will be mistakes. No, he's not Brees or Brady, but he's good enough. Like to see him perform better when the pressure is on and the game is tight, but we can win with him
