Notre Dame 6-6?? What schedule are you looking at? Michigan State and Stanford are the only other tough teams Notre Dame plays.

Did you see that defense? Maybe 7-5.

I could see MSU, Stanford, Miami and USC beating them. Maybe, even Duke but that'd be a bit of an upset.

Fucking Brian Kelly. Cost us at least a TD by playing Zaire to much. Play called like a pussy tied at 37-37. Has a top 10 talent at QB and doesn't know when to play him and how. Kizer was incredible tonight.

Congrats to Texas.

Not as much as you'd think. Texas didn't run their speed back, or pass to a RB out of the backfield, nor did they use their slot WRs or intermediate passing game.

For all the plays they ran, they didn't show a whole lot of diversity.

You guys were a mystery overall so I wasn't sure what to expect from you.

Complete genius how you guys didn't run with Buechele at all until suddenly unleashing his running ability in the 4th quarter, no one had any idea he could run until the first time they had him keep it.

Hell, that ND D is bad enough to keep VT in the game.

Check out Heard's stat before you say the slot didn't do much

I said "starting true Freshman QB".

I know. I said Bobby Layne to that, I thought you meant at Texas.

Shipley was the answer to my question about who holds the Texas record for freshmen TD passes

Their defense had to go against an offense they've never seen before. It was a tough challenge, I expected Texas to put up some points in this one, I almost picked the upset in my predictions but pussed out. Miami is a possibility but I'm not sure what they have. USC's human turnstile offensive line will get ate up by Notre Dame's defensive line which is a strength of theirs.

Michigan State meanwhile could only score 28 points against the Furman Paladins, do you really think they will put up 50 on Notre Dame??

Your rusty cows will have something to say about who wins the conference....but they may win it themselves. They may stump their toe somewhere but still ruin someone else's season.

I've always wondered what would happen when one of the blue bloods with talent decided to adopt the Leach or Briles system. It has always been run by the 2nd tier teams in conferences...and they didn't have the talent on the defensive side to add to it.

that's the thing here......Texas is LEGITIMATELY 4 deep at RB.......6 or 7 deep at WR with guys that can KILL your defense.

We didn't even play Duvernay, LJH, Collin Johnson, Davion Curtis, Kirk Johnson, or Kyle Porter. We could add new plays every single game with players you haven't scouted or prepared for.

Crazy thing is ALL of them are fast. Hell even our starting QB last year Heard nearly scored a long TD reception......we have speed everywhere. This team is going to be HELL on the conference the next two years and I think we pull in a top 5 class this year to add to it.

That's what I've been saying. If that offense can work with 2nd tier talent, I've always imagined how explosive it might be with blue blood talent.

Its frustrating knowing our dumbass coach didn't put the best product out on the field. Texas a little fortunate that we have a stubborn dumbass coach. Biggest difference was that texas knew how to utilize the two qb's and ND didn't and shouldn't have had to worry about it.

How have you been sir? This may be one of the best opening weekends in college football history. And we still have FSU/Ole Miss

Been good sir, definitely have enjoyed some fantastic football with one more to go. Amazing how this weekend actually lived up to the hype, and then surpassed it.

Would ask about you sir, but last night couldn't have been too pleasant for you lol

This is what I was preaching about USC.

They have all the skill players Leach or Briles could ever want to run a 50 point per game offense.

The reason Leach and Briles run the offense they do is because they lack line talent. USC lacks line talent and has for a while.
