Well, not all the time ...The refs didn't cost him this game, HE cost them this game. You guys are right, when he loses its always someone else's fault
USA Today said:ESPN's sideline reporter, Heather Cox, had a gem of a question for Kelly as he came off the field: "Where do the fixes need to come in the second half?"
Kelly's response? Well, maybe if Alabama forgets about coming back out of the locker room…
USA Today said:"Uh, maybe Alabama doesn't come back in the second half," Kelly said. "It's all Alabama. We can't tackle them right now and… who knows why. You know, they're big and physical. I guess I do know why. It's just that our guys have not tackled the way they have all year.
"And then we've got to get off press and man coverage, we haven't been able to do that. Credit Alabama. They played a great first half. We gotta go in there and get after it and play with some pride in the second half and try to get this thing closer so we can try to find a way to win."
Your team won! If it were not for multiple posts of yours that wavered between excuses and whining over the last 3 years I would have thought you were Rumpelstilskin. Been about 5 years since they beat a decent team but they did it. I'm sure NCG candidate after week #1 according to the Texas loyal.I just woke up. How much did Notre Dame beat us by?
Your team blew a big lead in the 4th and had to go to OT. I seem to remember some tea sipper jumping on our thread yesterday and busting balls for the same exact thing...I just woke up. How much did Notre Dame beat us by?
Didn't Texas beat an Oklahoma team that made the College football playoffs last year? And Baylor to close the seasonYour team won! At "non blue blood" schools, coaches that run those systems also have a hard time recruiting good defensive talent. Mainly because the players know they are going to be on the field a hell of a long time. At places like USC, Texas, etal, that isn't as much of the case. They can recruit good defensive talent. This is what I was preaching about USC.
They have all the skill players Leach or Briles could ever want to run a 50 point per game offense.
The reason Leach and Briles run the offense they do is because they lack line talent. USC lacks line talent and has for a while.
I can't see Briles getting an offer anywhere at the FBS level...but, what the hell do I know.I heard today there's some Briles/Auburn talk somewhere going on. Probably just BS.
Great comment, you beat me to the punch in stating it.Notre Dame almost would have been better off not blocking the PAT and running it back.
If they had been trailing, Brian Kelly would not have suddenly went into stall-ball mode and coached scared. He would have had to open up the offense in that last possession in regulation.
Charlie Strong by far outcoached Kelly!

yeah, saw your post earlier and thought, maybe some kind of inside joke?Just googled the population of Austin and surprised the fuck outta me. Almost a million people, I was just kidding, but I thought it was closer to 250-300k.

Austin (unfortunately for those live here)is like one of the fastest growing cities in the country. The city itself has reached a million, and greater Austin is about 2.
The worst traffic outside of LA and Houston, in the country.
oh yeah, forgot about New York, and the beltway around DC sucks as well.It might be bad but I doubt it's worse than NY....

They have a list, it's for hours of time wasted sitting in traffic, and the Austin area was like in the top two or three. This was a small college town 20 years ago, and the infrastructure will never catch up. Too many people too fast; they are coming in droves, and they need to stop.
Austin is like the #10 largest city in the nation
I've heard Austin has some amazing music and food.
