Meier and Boldin both started as Qbs, and performed well as receivers in college. As I mentioned in the Mike McNeil thread size and athleticism make up for speed in college, which makes me believe he could be a good WR.

Again, not agreeing with zorby, I think with time to learn and get more comfortable(RED SHIRT!!!!!), Green has the tools to be a very productive QB.

I have never swayed on my faith in Lee. The guy really is good, physically he can do everything Ganz did. If he can compose himself, and play with some "gusto", he will go down as a fan favorite, just like Ganz.

I also have stated a zillion times it would be much better for Green, and Nebraska, if Green red-shirts. I would rather see him flourish in 3 more seasons, than see him continue to learn and struggle on the field as a sophomore, and only have 2 seasons left, and continue to struggle.

If Lee gets it together, I will be his biggest fan, but I just don't see that happening.. I thought for awhile that maybe the arm injury caused some of it, but he was behind receivers on 2 yard passes. I could throw those left-handed.

Perhaps you haven't had significant arm injuries? A QB can continue to throw without major problem with jammed/sprained/broken fingers, but anything with the wrist, elbow or anything between the shoulder seriously messes things up.

Reasoning being the fingers, not all of them needed, effect the rotation of the ball, where the elbow to shoulder are more angle and arch of the ball, which easily messes up the destination.

I personally didn't think his accuracy was that bad under the circumstances. He obviously had trouble with he long ball, but short range, I give complete blame to the receivers. Our option/blocking receivers from the 90's had better hands.

BTW, he completed about 59% of his passes despite a TORN BICEP, and numerous drops by receivers...thats not bad when you think about it.

It is hard for a receiver to catch a ball when it's thrown behind him. When running, having to turn half your body around is not easy, I blame that on the QB.. and I don't care what his completion % was when you throw 5 yards or less every time, 59% is not that great.

Again, I don't remember him throwing behind receivers anymore than any other QB I have watched, and if he did...ARM...TORN BICEP...effects accuracy tremendously...

I don't agree with you either. I hope Green doesn't redshirt, because having him around another year will just take away reps from another "worthy" candidate at QB three years from now.

i have said from day 1 that if coach pelini goes up in flames (to your chagrin- he's not. in your face pedey puller!), i'll be the first one to admit that i'm wrong. unlike you hypocritical christian types, i know how to be humble and admit when i'm wrong, if i'm wrong. which when it comes to the huskers- it's not very often.
i.e. when texas tech won this year- i was one of the first, if not the first to admit i was wrong and give them props. you could learn something from that jay.

see, i think he could be great now, with a good spring and summer.. we should have won and lost with him last season, I really think we wouldn't have done worse... but then again, I'm not the coach and don't know anything and shouldn't speculate at all.....
