I have no issues with where Dallas is ranked, but I'd be really interested in what @deanpet21 has to say.

I just read the article. Its flawed and here is why. They are projecting Murphy to be a starter and he is not even close to starting at DE for us. They don't even mention the impact of Galette will have on the pass rush. Which is hilarious. The Skins have the best pass rushers in the division. I cant believe I am the only one who sees this . The PFF site has gone downhill. They weren't even close with the draft.

Manster7588, the Redskins have better pass rushers and a better Secondary than the Cowboys. That is all you need to know. Romo is going to have to throw 50 times a game to catch up b/c the defense wont be able to stop anybody. The best comparison I can give is the 2015 Saints. The teams are exactly the same.

You're a good guy. It's a shame you're such a space cadent when it comes to any thing Cowboys. Dallas's offense is nothing like the Saints....research running the football and get back to me.

Me? I'm not sure Romo throws the ball over 25 times either time we play Washington. Second and 3 or 4 all day is what I see, but your right...somebody is being hilarious here and time will tell this tale

How are you going to run the ball when you are down by 14 points? Its the oldest cliché in the book. This is a passing league. With no 2nd threat at WR teams will just stack the box and force 2 and 9 and 8. Making Romo throw the ball 40-50 times a game. You guys are going to be in shootouts all year. Are you really going to disagree with that? There is no way the Cowboys will win a 14-10 game. When teams have good running offenses they also have great defenses to back it up. Dallas is not even an average defense so the running game is not going to mean anything when you cant stop anybody.

I don't know dean, you tell me about 2014 when Dallas entered that season with the worst defense in team history with their best player, Sean Lee out for the season. That year Washington scored 20 in one game and 17 in the other. The Titans scored 10 points, New Orleans got a total of 17 points while the Colts were held to 7 points.

You remain all about Dallas and assume a lot!!!

1) exactly the same way they ran it two years ago. Many feel Elliot is better than Murray and that Collins is a better run blocker than Leary
2) why are we assuming they are going to be down 14 points? Don't they still start at 0-0???

I don't pretend to know all the answers about things that haven't yet happened and am not saying Dallas is going to be a good team this year, but damn are you unable to be objective about your team.

Most of the time, when NFL teams get down 14 in the first quarter, it's because of offensive turnovers, not poor defense. Not saying that Dallas won't have a bad defense, but even the worse defenses are prepared enough to slug it out early. Unless you give up some 60-80 yard plays of course.

Maybe if you took off those homer glasses, you'd see the full picture.
I'll state once more the 4 NFCE defenses are close to being equal, one defense is not the difference maker over another.

In terms of seamless quality and versatility, there may NOT be a better defensive front in football right now than the RAIDERS.. While giving us a top 5 rank.. So says PFF

The 2014 defense overachieved. They don't have anything close to Hardy now on the roster. Washington offense is ten times better than 2014. Are you serious?

Wrong. Massive overpay for Vernon. Plus JPP will never be the same.

My point is that Dallas had a better Offense and Defense in 2014. Was Romo had one of his best years. Very tough to duplicate b/c the Skins and Giants should be better than last year.

Hahaha! Hardy wasn't even on the Cowboys roster in 2014!

You are saying that has a Dallas fan. Dallas has the worst defense in the division on paper. Who knows what will happen. But to call everyone equal right now is kind of crazy I think.

There are going to be games that they are down by two scores. So running the ball wont solve anything. Plus when you are a run first team and your finishing 6 or 7 min drives with FG's its a big problem.

Im not saying Dallas wont win games but there wins will be shootouts. they should take advantage of their easy schedule this year. But to say they will win games on defense is funny.

Dallas was down 10 at Seattle mid 1st QTR in 2014 and pounded the rock all day.
