Kirkman had experience too. Oswalt had experience when we tried him 4 years ago and he gave up 39 baserunners in his first 17.1 innings here. Seems like to me the more experience Chi Ch i and Nick got the worse they pitched.

That was absolutely idiotic by Desmond... just cost them a run. There is NO need to have that big of a lead off first when you have a runner on 3rd with only one out. And then he gingerly got back to 1st on the throw and didn't even slide. Had he slid, he might have been safe. Just awful.
