Its a good situation for the Knicks because its essentially a contract year for Rose.

He can earn himself a big payday next off-season by having a solid year.

I agree....and if he can play 65-68 games and average say 16ppg and 6apg.....it's a lot better than what NY had at PG last season.

Biyombo may get 15-18 million. I'd pay Noah that before Biyombo.....as long as Noah can be on the court....which I think he can.

There's no way I'd want to be paying Noah 18M when he's 35 versus Biyombo when he's 27.

Biyombo you at least know what you're getting. Noah is a total crapshoot at this stage in his career.

Edit: Assuming they both sign 4 year deals.

I don't know. Its probably recency bias but last image in my head of Noah was last year in the Cavs-Bulls series. He looked completely lost and helpless out on the court.

For $18m I better be getting more than a locker room presence.

Rose played 66 last season and unboased people that have seen him recently indicate he looked good with nice explosion. Noah is just too young to be done imo.....I think he can bounce back.

Rose was bad last year though. He can score, but not efficiently and he does not play great defense. The Knicks will go as far as Melo and Porzingas can carry them. They should make the playoffs, but are not a legitimate threat to any of the good teams in the East.

See I rather have Biyombo but it depends what team. If you need leadership you go Noah but if you want a younger player with a little more energy you go Biyombo with the higher ceiling of the 2.

100% correct. He looked like he lost 2-3 steps. In my eyes I dont see him as a starter anymore.

I also agree he would be an ok fit for the lakers because of the leadership but the issue u have is you have Roy at center and didnt you guys just give him a decent contract. Noah doesnt want to be a bench player. He said the other day he wants to be a starter and be out on the floor during crunch time.

Hibbert is a FA and not expected back.

I also want to state im not knocking Noah because he will be an ex Bull. Im a Big Noah fan and appreciate everything he did for this team. Im just telling it how it is. Its the same when Gore left my 49ers. I knew he didnt have much left. It was time for him to move on and start the younger back in Hyde.

Biyombo had a decent playoff run but it could be fools gold. Remember Jerome James?

Maybe, you don't.

I know how many Rose played last year, but he's fragile as hell and we were all surprised he played that many. Noah played 29 and has a ton of Thibs miles on him. I think 65-68 for each of them is pretty optimistic .

not even close. Rose will give you production. Roy is just bad.

Hibbert was on a 1 year deal in LA basically and he showed some flashes but he was hung out to dry too much when the rest of the squad left him to clean up their mistakes. He was okay, nothing special and not horrible either.

Very true but I think Biyombo is finally taking that next step. Look these 2nd tier players are tough to figure out. remember before the playoffs Ezeli.....everyone thought he would be a starting center after this year now most know he is only a back up.

I understand but Noah is still just 31 and I think he can bounce back. On a 3 year deal (with the team holding the option for the final year) I think he could be just fine.

I wouldnt want him on my team. He hasnt been the same for awhile. Yeah 1 year deal isnt bad. That is what the knicks are getting with Rose but at least Rose still can play when he is on the court.

yes but not at 18 mill. I understand cap is going up again next year but that is a lot of money for a guy that may or may not be a starting center anymore. Again he will help the knicks just not as much as people think.
