At the minimum, the Rangers should be able to bring Cotts out there in the 8th or 9th inning of games with a big lead and not have to worry about him blowing it. Can't say the same for guys like Claudio, Jackson, and Tolley.

Hard to have any confidence in Tolley tho. Since the second half of last year, he has not been good.

I was trying to make a point. Frasor was kinda like Cotts is now. Not thought to be very good but neither was Frasor and he fooled a lot of people. Cotts may do the same.

O'Day could be put into that same category.

Luke Jackson has pitched 14 innings his career. If he ever gets consistent work he might actually contribute. He has about 3 pitches and has a fastball. Tolly's game is built on his command of the change up. If he loses feel for the change he's not going to be effective.

I don't think he is what's keeping the team afloat. I do agree he is a good defensive player.

He needs to go to RR and get the feel for his change up and he could come back and be fine, but he needs to have an off speed pitch to work in. His FB isn't enough to get him by
