I don't care how much Fielder is being paid. His fat ass should be sitting. Profar should be playing.

If your going to keep Fieldee in the lineup, he has zero business hitting fourth. :L

I agree. And although I feel the team has given him too much rope to begin with, the real rub is "why keep drawing Prince into a pressure situation which you've seen him fail at for most of this season?" Place in 6th/7th and let him earn his way back to position of dependability.

Profar should be playing.

I'm not in favor of having Profar at 1st on anything close to a full time bases.

I'd much rather see MM get the majority of the ab against a RHP, with Rua and Profar taking the other ones.

I would still be interested to see what we could get for Mitch in about a month.

I meant put him at DH. Let Prince sit. You could also put him at short and let Elvis DH. And then do the same thing at second. That way you could give Elvis and Roogie partial days off.

hard to say. Mitch has always been a streaky hitter. I'd have a hard time dumping him to play a SS full time at first much less Prince. I'd think Mitch & Rue at 1st doing the right/left thing seems the soundest if Prince continues to get 4 AB's daily.

any event....super pumped about this Ranger's team. They sure are playing good baseball and a pleasure to watch on a daily basis. The togetherness again seems off the charts.

And Beltre. For Profar to keep sharp he needs 5 games a week.

Don't see it helping us any, Cotts hasn't been any good for a while

I think the 1.10 WHIP, 8.56 K/9, and 4.33 K/BB this season in the minors could give us reason for optimism. Plus his FIP, xFIP, and BABIP don't really indicate any regression is due. Not saying he's going to be what he was for us two years ago, but he'd be an upgrade over some current options till JD can do some work.

If we can get a good return for Mitch I would be happy with a combination of Profar, Rua and Gallo at 1B.

Help me out here. Wasn't it Frasor we picked up and some thought he was not very good and he turned out to be a very good reliever. Kinda the way I remember it.

I was trying to make a point. Frasor was kinda like Cotts is now. Not thought to be very good but neither was Frasor and he fooled a lot of people. Cotts may do the same.

At the minimum, the Rangers should be able to bring Cotts out there in the 8th or 9th inning of games with a big lead and not have to worry about him blowing it. Can't say the same for guys like Claudio, Jackson, and Tolley.

I think it's a good move but remember he is minor league contract and there is a reason for it. May work out fine.
