All I can say is if Hanser Alberto led the Dominican Winter League in hitting, Im not interested in seeing the pitching or any of the other hitters. His bat is totally useless, he might as well be swinging a jump rope at the plate

I think they would have still be inserted whether they homered or not, at least by their daily appearances and Jeff's insistence he will still do so. Im just hoping they show some signs of life

Can't believe they can't find someone else to fill his role. Haven't been impressed with is defense either. The only thing he has been good at is cheerleading.

I was thinking the same thing today. When he had that bloop hit that drove in some big runs a week or so ago the guys on the bench were acting like they were astounded by what happened. Rosales was more useful than Alberto.

It also makes me wonder about the other hitters down in the Dominican Winter League. How shitty do they have to be to get topped by Hanser Alberto in batting average? Clearly the pitching sucks for Hanser to have a high batting average. But then that begs the question- why can't anyone else hit any better against the scrub pitching?

Surely Pedro Ciriaco can offer more with the bat off the bench, even if he cant play all the defensive positions Alberto can? This may just be in line with all the other moves it takes this team so long to make
