Leave it up to the Sharks to end up looking like a bunch of MF'ers on Mother's Day. If they blow this series, the organization won't recover anytime soon considering the other playoff failures. HOW IN THE GODDAMN HELL DO YOU BLOW TWO TWO-GOAL LEADS AT HOME IN A SERIES-CLINCHING GAME IF YOU REALLY HAVE THE COMMITMENT TO WIN THE CUP? HOPE THEY ENJOY THE TRIP TO DETROIT FOR A GODDAMN FUCKING GAME 6 AFTER HAVING THEIR HEADS UP THEIR ASSES IN THE THIRD PERIOD WITH THE CHANCE TO FINISH IT OFF. :mad2::mad2::mad2:

I would not be surprised to see them win game 6. They played well for the vast majority of the game. Every game has been really close, so anybody could win. The big thing is that franzen will likely be out and the wings are beat up. They managed to win the 3rd, but I'm not sure they can survive another two games being outplayed like tonight.

Also, I think patty will wake up as a result of these past two games. He was called out the papers and then on national TV. If Tmac is any kind of respectable coach, he'll figure out a way to get patty to use his speed and size against a relative slow and old detroit D. This is the kind of opponent patty should be devouring. He has been floating to the Nth degree, and hopefully tmac lights that fire behind closed doors. I expect him to acquit himself nicely in game 6 and then we can move on and figure out how to have the nucks out-choke the sharks!

Honestly its a win-win situation. Either the sharks pull it out, or the ax will come down really hard this summer. I cant see them suffering a playoff choke of historic proportion and following that up with the old same lines about being so close and keeping this "highly talented" team together. I'm not sure who might get chopped, but I'd rather not think about it.

I would still much rather be the sharks than the wings right now...

mistake #1 leaving the house to watch the Sharks game in the Tenderloin with 2 friends

mistake #2 showing up at that bar to see both my friends wearing Wings hats, one is a semi-legit fan the other is just a bandwagoner from England

mistake #3 Vee never showed up to balance out the fan base (i blame her for the loss! eheheh)

mistake #4 getting really drunk and posting some nasty shit on facebook, thank god i was not posting here.

p.s. Marleau you are a fucking douche

p.s. / p.s. Mr Flying V - good luck with the surgery, i hope you will be ok.

p.s. / p.s. / p.s. if this team chokes away this series, i am moving them to my #3 favorite team and moving Vancouver up to #1 and Islanders up to #2, how is that for a loser choker group of teams to root for?

You could have given me a little more notice!

Detroit seems to have found the necessary intangibles to win. Even if Franzen is out of Game 6, the Sharks will have a very difficult game in Detroit. When you blow a game in a clinching situation like tonight, you're asking to lose the series. At least in Game 5 vs. LA they fell behind 3-0 early and were trying to comeback the rest of that game. This one is much worse because they seemingly had control and then proceeded to vomit all over themselves. Should be no surprise, though, based on this team's wicked and twisted playoff history.

JR *was* harsh and I think we'll see him apologize for it in the next VS telecast or two...

But I didn't mind him doing what he did one bit.

You don't know JR at all lol That guy never apologizes for anything he says or does, but if patty comes out and has a monster game and single handedly puts away detroit. JR will come out and take credit for it

Roenick wouldn't have made those comments if Marleau wasn't pulling one of his patented disappearing acts. It will be interesting to see which Marleau decides to show up for Game 6.

Marleau should be the one apologizing for his play during this series. If the others weren't picking up the slack, the Sharks would've already lost the series.

At least once in every playoff year, Patricia comes down with a bad case of Vaginal-Myalgia. Usually last about 2 weeks. He should be off the meds & back to 100% by Game 7. :canada: ( I like the blinky smiley)

Randy is tripping balls.

yeah, Its like JR went after his first-born child. JR called patty out for a terrible performance amidst a pretty terrible series amidst a really inconsistent career full of major highlights and equally major disappearances. Gutless may be a bit harsh, but people have been questioning his heart for a long time in backhanded fashion. The merc wasnt going to call him gutless, but they mentioned many times that he disappears and drives coaches mad while we all wait, wait, wait until he gets his head out of his ass. Well, disappearing for long stretches and playing maddening frustratingly is just another way of saying that he lacks consistent drive and heart.

The only difference between JR's comments and the ones in the merc the day before (and today too) is the select adjective that was used and hte straightforward manner in which it was delivered. As always, if this were toronto, boston, philly or some other market that actually holds players responsible and skewers them for bad performances, then the message from the fan base and papers would be 'hell yeah, that was gutless. Let's see how he responds in game 6' instead of accusing JR of just trying to advance his career at patty's expense.

It's just the SJ media making more excuses for their golden boy.

Sharks have surprised us before (well, not too often) by responding favorably after a horrific meltdown. I do worry about the similarities with the 2007 4th game debacle.
Anyone remember the late GT goal and then Matthieu Schneider in OT? Sharks really tanked it from then on in 5 and 6. Marleau also played a part in that one toward the end along with Guerin as I recall. Anyway, Go Sharks and make us believe this club is different.

Just curious - how many road rage incidents were there in in Sharkland last nite? Hope not too many of you posters were on the road then.
