And yea, I'm a fan of defense. And not to put the entire blame of the offensive woes last season on DT shoulders, but he played like shit. And I don't wanna hear about his stats, he's way better than what he displayed last season. Way better. He looked shook.

It's not luck when they do it week in and week out. It was a display of pure dominance despite the chips stacked against them. They created their opportunities and capitalized. That's talent and coaching pure and simple. If this offense can get off their asses this D could be even better. DT better do a cup check this offseason and earn his pay.

I don't get the entire oh you're lucky because your players stayed healthy thing either.

Yeah, we signed and drafted these guys with the mindset they would be healthy. That isn't luck. That's what we expected when drafting/signing these guys, and that is the way you build your team incase injuries do occur.

One can be unlucky with injuries but being healthy isn't healthy, and injuries are part of the game. It's adversity teams have to fight through, that is why you add depth. Build your team the way champions build their team and coach the players to match what you're doing.

Like I said luck is winning the lottery.
Winning is building, coaching, preparing and executing and fighting through adversity, taking advantage of the other teams mistakes and limiting your own... Sometimes you have to play the game to understand that.

Rahim Moore/Joe Falcco play.

Yeah Moore messed up and the Ravens took advantage of that. Flacco spotted Jones. Jones caught the ball, he ran, he scored. They took advantage of another teams mistake. Part of the game. A BIG part of the game.

Also on injuries - Your practice facilities -your training staff - your player rotations - a lot of things are involved in injury prevention. I think the Broncos conditioning facilities are 2nd to none.

yeah but probability plays a big chance in so many plays in the NFL. Especially in one and done scenarios. Its why there are so many upsets in march madness.

With too many snaps the D side wears down and injuries accrue leaving scrubs and burger flipper to take on NFL teams

Look this team was special on D I get that ..

But if you Rush the Football all day long the other team will wilt quickly if they are doing nothing against our D ! It will be over at half time if we can get a steady RG going . The other Team D on the field all day will kill them Quick .

Crash- I think you are arguing something that nobody is arguing. Everyone knows what a good pass rush can do for you, truth is we won a Super Bowl without much of one and it wasn't just because of luck. We proved there are other ways to win a championships that excluded a good run attack. I wouldn't recommend neglecting it because of that, as we have not, but we didn't just get lucky and win a Super Bowl. The NFL is a very talented league.. You don't win a SB due to pure luck is all.

Nothing is ever over at halftime. Can't have that mentality.

This goes back to preparation and preparing your team for injuries and stop gaps to come in and fill a role if needed.

Coaching, Execution and preparation...

Not luck.

George Mason didn't get to the final 4 (whatever year it was about 10 years ago) based off luck.

They prepared, coached and executed better then more talented programs (on paper).

I meant run game not pass rush. My bad!

our pass rush is why we were where we were and why we won what we won.

Also to add to what I have already said. Mistakes and poor execution are part of the game. Everyone makes them everyone fails to execute at times. You have to capitalize off those mistakes.

The team who makes the fewest mistakes usually always wins the game.

Part of the game. Not luck!

It sure as hell helps when you can rotate players in without sacrificing level of talent too much. Having good depth and resting guys all season ( Ware for example) is very key in avoiding injuries. That to me just follows that ' Ol common sense theory. Ever heard the saying.....you can create your own luck as well. :)

Lucky with injuries? I think not. It's called building a deep, talented roster. The Seahawks have done it with their defense and Elway simply followed that model. When a player goes down, there is nearly equal talent to come in and mop up. I get so pissed when people say the Broncos were lucky. The team went to work and "grinded" all season. They won for a reason, not just some fairy tale, lucky streak.
