So far, Denver appears to potentially have fixed the offensive line adding two solid tackles (Okung and Stephenson), getting Sambrailo back healthy, and adding a solid guard from the Draft (McGovern)

Right now I am guessing our oline will end up as Okung, Sambrailo, Paradis, McGovern, Stephenson

With the addition of Booker and us retaining both Anderson and Hillman, Denver's running back core is as deep as it has been since I can even remember.

So with our defense, additions and development to the offensive line, the fortifying of our running back depth chart, can this team compete even with a subpar QB? Many will say no... but they didn't see what we were doing last year. Honestly, with another year fully implementing Kubiak's offense with a more mobile QB, our offense SHOULD be even better, even with Sanchez under center.

I honestly believe Sanchez can lead us to the playoffs this year. He is saying and doing all the right things, leading the team, and diving into what it means to be a QB (he is taking the anti-manziel route). This year we shouldn't be forcing Lynch to start, because it very well could be detrimental to his development. Instead, Denver should focus on running the ball, limiting turnovers, and establishing a smash-mouth offense ala Carolina and Seattle. With this, we can establish a mean and 'punch you in the mouth' mentality. We can chew and control the clock, limit turnovers, and we can put our defense in MUCH better situations than we put them in continuously last year. Do this, and even @Draft Crazy could QB the Broncos, and we would still be AFC contenders and AFC West favorites.

As important as the QB position is, Elway proved us last year he is capable of building a roster that's success is QB-quality independent. Gone are the star wars number days with 350+ yards and 4+ touchdowns, gone are the days of 50+ pass attempts. Now are the days of running the ball 30+ times, owning the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, and leaving opponents on BOTH sides of the ball licking their wounds after being BEATEN physically for 60 minutes every Sunday. Now begins the Days of the Orange Rush and the Orange Crush.

Garcia as backup interior (G or C)
Sambrailo as back up T (with Garcia playing guard if Ty goes to T)

Great thoughts little brother.

There is one slight disagreement, I mean if I was playing QB we could win with a terrible defense. Wouldn't even matter if we had this pass rush. ;)

This coming from someone who played RB/WR and CB in football.
(Always hated the QB position, I always wanted to catch the football, not throw it, at an early age when we'd play football on the playground I never wanted to play QB, just seemed boring to me because as kids you never had a pass rush so the QB just sat back there and waited for someone to get open, kind of like fishing in a pond) ZzzzzzZZZZzzzz

I agree with everything you said and I would add that the addition of a fullback should not be overlooked as a strong commitment to running the ball. I don't think any Broncos fan was a Mark Sanchez fan prior to March of this year but as the plan begins to appear before us, he has a very good shot at having a career year.

Agree with everything but DC starting at QB, and Garcia not starting at guard. I can't see McGovern taking his spot right out of the gate, with Max having another year in this system and significant playing time on him.

Any chance Max gets the chance to unseat Paradis at C ?? ... Max just strikes me as the better, nastier player, and because of his experience there, I think we should get the 5 best on the line ..

Agree with this.

Garcia will start, IMO.

Max is going to be really good, and I expect him to really take off this year into that role.

I'd be very surprise if Garcia is not the starting G.

The line is definitely the biggest question mark. We are kidding ourselves if we think it will be a transition free of growing pains. The benefit is this: better depth at RB and a QB who is mobile and able to throw out of the pocket. Also, if the Broncos are really gearing up to pound the ball on the ground, the line is most definitely going to take a lot of snaps working on their run blocking. If the pass blocking is mediocre but the run blocking is good the offense will be jest fine.

Paradis was our best player on the oline last year imo

I think C is the spot where a guy who might have some weaknesses will be best covered up .. I am not completely down on Paradis, he did a good job all things considered ... But when Manny Ramirez was switched from G to C, he was completely protected by the guys around him

For record, I think Ramirez was a 2nd string NFL player, at best

Again, not sayin' this is what Paradis is, but Garcia stepped in at a tougher spot ( G ) and showed some real good things .... I think if Paradis were in at G, he would not have fared nearly as well as Max ...

Max played C in college, and so far, he just strikes me as a better lineman

That's pretty tough Lucas for the Olineman who played every snap of the season - and holds a respected Center (Ferentz) in reserve.

The big issue on the Oline is can Sambraillo play tackle - or will he find a home at guard?

I'm speculating - but Eugene Monroe from the Ravens seems to be unhappy - I can see him being cut or traded to the Broncos - I wouldn't count on him for a full season, but as the swing tackle -he would be perfect.

I know, I know .. I like Paradis, and I have nothing really disparaging to say ... It's just that I think Max has a good upside and has shown some really positive aspect to his game ..

I would hate to see a guy with Max's potential and ability be a backup

I'm 98% sure Max will be the starter at Guard - if healthy. Even vets like Vasquez were in awe of him as a rookie.

Sambraillo is the wild card here = where does he go - does he develop?

I think where the Broncos are thin on this roster is at Tackle - they have two starters and Schofield. Sambraillo maybe and McGovern - in a pinch. I think the Broncos will have an eye out for a tackle in the cut downs.

Schofield's name became a curse word on this forum last year but he actually played better in the playoffs.
