Wow, they pulled the trigger on an o line man that actually played o line in college.

Yeah thats who i thought they were going after when they traded down. I always figured it was Ifedi or Spriggs, then Spriggs started to slide. Very happy with the pick and do not be shocked if they find a way to get Whitehair also

VERY nice pick.

Ifedi was okay IMO. Bit raw which is kind of disappointing at OL, but the fact we acquired an extra 3rd round out of the whole thing... WOW. I'll take that any day.

Pick itself? B-
Pick with trade? B+/A-

I like it. Will learn more later.

Surprised they took a guy that was actually projected as a 1st Rounder. Surprise.:suds:

Opinions vary, but I liked him. Actually better at pass blocking, then run blocking IMO, so that is different.

Just looking up his game highlights... Hopefully he develops the footwork to be and LT ... If in-fact that's where they put him... But we did have to address our line, it's a must ... He's a big body for sure...

Is this a sign of the end of days?

Seriously, I like the pick. Only time will tell if it was a good one.

True, they got an extra 3rd and still got the guy they were targeting ...

I think he's going to play RT to begin with and Gilliam will be the LT.

Won't know if this was a good pick or not until at least some point next season if he's good enough to end up getting live game time (and for a first rounder he damned well better).

They know how hard it is to fill an o line in the NFL and how depleted theirs is. At least they are addressing it.

Very big Boogie.

We get a lot of flexibility in the 2nd/3rd round to target players without giving up normal ammunition. Good teams trade down and acquiring an extra 3rd for free is complete 'Madden Hacks'.

2nd/3rd are THE picks. Those are the picks you build all your depth, get the steals (usually) and the rotational value due to the cheap contracts. So important to snag those. Day 2 should be VERY exciting. Haven't been excited about a Carroll/Schneider draft since the OP'd 2012 draft.

As some of you likely know I never liked the Wilson pick (loved Wags) but did not like Wilson. Missed on that one big time. This is the first draft since the op'd 2012 class that I'm most excited about so far.

They got their man at 31... Whats great is that they better their draft position by trading with Denver. At 26 or 31... They were going to get Ifedi. They got another top 100

I think they will try him out at Guard and have him play which ever one he is more suited for based off Tom Cables input. Not a secret that the Hawks need Tackle, Center AND Guard help.

I might agree if they had some better then Webb to play RT.

Yeah, I think I'd be happier if he played RT and Glowinski played RG and Webb was just filled the Alvin Bailey role.
