Unfortunately for Dbacks fans, vaginitis has no cure and just has to run its course.
His last outing was decent. It would be foolish for anyone to expect him to replicate what got him this monstrous paycheck. Ups and downs are a part of every sport. Apparently Greinke is getting his "downs" out of the way early. Or at least a lets hope so. 15 games into the season.

Nice seeing Clayton Kershaw not throwing as many breaking balls. Teams are figuring out that those are rarely strikes and to lay off them. He is painting the corners with fastballs now and an occasional curve.

Jake Peavy's ERA is 6.86

"He's a bargain. And a stud! And a great clubhouse guy. We love how passionate he is."

"Yeah, but for 'only' $7,000,000."

Zack Grienke has given up more earned runs than any pitcher in baseball this season. 21.

He gave up 41 earned runs all of last season.

Good thing Arizona is top 5 in nearly every offensive category then. Gave up 7 earned last night and got the W. It is worrisome though.

They're going to have to be top 5 if there's any prayer of balancing out one of the worst performing rotations in MLB. Greinke isn't the only one that's pitching terribly.

The Dbacks offense is averaging 5.19 runs per game while the opponents are scoring 5.00 runs per game. Those numbers will surely regress but, barring a dramatic change (I mean, what can really be done?), I'll be surprised if Arizona finishes more than a game or two over .500 by the end of the season.

There's no depth. Injuries will happen, just like they do to everyone, and Greinke will not be garbage the whole season but he's only one guy. Jean Segura isn't going to hit like this all year.

Does it count if it's against the Padres though?

Very curious as to why you have Peavy hate. He had a great career while with SD. Is it simply your Giants hatred or do you have a thing for Peavy? Not that there is anything wrong with it.

I can't speak for fellow Padre fans such as Hammer, but I loved Peavy as a Padre. I didn't even have a problem with him when he was with the White or Red Sox. But to see him in a Giants jersey....it hurts my eyes. Same thing with Agon being on the Dodgers, and even worse for him because it seems like he always hits well against the Padres. I believe he had 5 HR's in the first series last year against SD.

Someone posted on twitter that this is the first time since the NL Central in 1996 that every team in a division ended the month of April below .500.

Dodgers worked pretty hard to make that happen. They've been the Padres for the past 6 games.

It'd be nice for another NL West team to be the Padres for once.

I hate the dogs, but I have no prob with this sort of thing. It builds team chemistry, and breaking a 6-game skid is kinda a big deal. If there were not any celebrating, I would be more concerned with the clubhouse.
The current club is outstanding. Kike, Joc, Puig, Turner... missing from the action is Van Slyke (DL, back soon) and of course Juan Uribe from yesteryear (never thought I'd miss that guy). These guys are funloving clowns so it's hilarious to see what they do. Seeing Alex Wood and Adrian Gonzalez in the middle of that is amazing to me. Makes me miss Matt Kemp a bit. I'm glad he's having a good year.
