Conspiracy.
Was watching only portions of MNF....
Saw the play where Chung run over an under-thrown pass to Hopkins (I think). Chung never turned around. And it prevented the receiver from catching the ball. Almost always a pass-interference penalty. But not here.

Really hate fantasy football today.
Lost all 6 of my leagues this past weekend.
And one of my teams was 10-0, and another was 9-1.
And the mystique of tlance destroyed my KOTF team.

Didn't watch it at all, but people are saying the officiating was atrocious all the way around.

It was. The early whistle on what should've been an Amendola TD was a head shaker.

Poor Rex ultimately got the blame for obstruction.

Amazing. Browns/Ravens was the most entertaining game I have seen this year. Who'da thunk?

Hooray for my boy Austin Davis getting a shot!

How in holy hello land do the Browns keep chugging Crowell out there? It's obvious how much better Duke is.

I love the Browns. One of a few teams that make me happy being a Bills fan!

any one have any insight on Mark Ingram shoulder injury?

just saw this blurb earlier today on roto, and added spiller in my big money league.

NFL Network's Rand Getlin reports Mark Ingram is "dealing with a serious shoulder injury" that may end his season.

Ingram first popped up on the injury report Week 12 with the shoulder issue, but has been listed as probable the past two weeks. During those games, he's seen his workload scaled back a bit, and we may have a reason now. With Khiry Robinson (leg) already done for the year, would be left with C.J. Spiller, Tim Hightower, and KR-type Marcus Murphy at running back if Ingram has to hit the shelf. It'd be awful timing for fantasy owners. Ingram is currently the overall RB3 and has been as consistent as they come much of the year.

Was doing some number crunching in preparation for the offseason.
Decided to track the weekly output (standard scoring) of each fantasy player on Excel.
And then split the season between the first 8 games, and compare that data with the last 8 games.

I realize there are still 3 games to go for most players, but here were a few of the high runners:

QB
Russel Wilson
averaged 17.3 pts the first 8 games. The last 5 he's literally DOUBLED that to 34.6 pts. (17.4 diff)
Of non-injured QB, next was Ryan Fitzpatrick. Was 18.1 pts and is now 26.2 pts. (8.1 diff)
On the negative side, Tom Brady was averaging 30.5 and is now 24.6 (-5.9 diff)

RB
Devonta Freeman
averaged 19.9 pts the first 8. And is now a dismal 6.0 (-13.9 diff)
Of "regularly-used" backs, Doug Martin and AP had minimal increases (above 2.0), but while he may be out for week 14, Jonathan Stewart actually showed the best increase 4.4 pts.

WR
Doug Baldwin
went from a paltry 5.4 pts in the first 8, to a Hulk-smash 20.8. (15.4 diff)
Next was Antonio Brown who has already done well averaging 11.0 pts the first 8. But still found a boost to 18.2 the last 5 games. (7.2 diff)
For non-injured WR, we have a tie... Julio Jones and Larry Fitzgerald both saw their averages dip -5.6 pts.

Thinking Out Loud

In my personal rankings, I was trying to think of a new tier system that actually describes where a player may be valued. And since I use an Excel spreadsheet (this part is key to my tier system), it had to be alphabetical so it could be sorted. This is what I came up:

Elite - Top of the tier. Solid contributors.
Good - A notch below the elite but still better than the majority of players.
Ordinary - couldn't use the "average" label since (it won't sequence alphabetically), but it is a synonym for average. Nothing wrong with ordinary players. (Also thought of using "Plain.")
Risky - was gonna use "Promising" as a label, but I quickly found that some players in this range were on the downhill side of their career making them a risk. Boom! Plus "risky" also describes the players with promise because not everything falls into place for them either.
Sleeper - despite the broad use of this label, it was still a good description of players with an outside shot of being fantasy relevant.

Thoughts? Does anyone have better suggestions? If so, remember, they need to be alphabetical.

How 'bout 'solid' in there somewhere? Not sure if that would be exactly the same as ordinary or average.

Actually, I guess 'Good' and 'Solid' would be the same...
