Just a note....Upton: 8 K's in 17 ABs. Under .200 BA. He is a streak hitter, so I suspect that sometime next week he will have a few 3-4 and 4-5 games.

I would bet that you are right (based on history), but let's give him a couple more starts and see. I am not giving Zimmerman the Cy Young Award yet either.

I think Zimmerman will be above average. Sub 3.20 era and 1.20 WHIP and be in the top 10 discussion for NL starters Which is all we need him to be. Nothing CY Young level.

He is historically bad in April. Not worried about him.

Kind of had a feeling the Yankees were going to bust out yesterday after the Tigers shut them down Friday. The weather doesn't look the best for a night game in Detroit. There's going to be some snow today and some rain today and warming up to 40 degrees at game time. Good luck with that. Verlander is scheduled to start tonight because of the off-day Thursday.

Correct me if I am wrong....but the 4th and 5th starter do not matter to a team, correct? At least they don't in Miami AND in SF, as I recall. Now, I forget? Was it because no one knows who they are/were....or because they can go 2-10 and have no effect on the team because your 1,2,3 starters are so good. It was all a little confusing....probably something more commonly found in Mexican Leagues.

Do the Yankees ever NOT play on Sunday night? I think a couple of times a season they are replaced for a Sunday night by the Red Sox....but not if the Red Sox are playing the Yankees.
