i am not worried about free agency . we will get a couple of young well priced guys and this discussion will be over

But here's one stat that the NFL Network's Albert Breer tweeted out: Of the 86 players selected to the Pro Bowl, only two were free-agent signees last offseason.

maybe we should look at this before we panic about free agency

Its pretty obvious the areas requiring improvement going into next year. Over paying for 30+ year old talent is not the way to go. We need youth and improved players on the DL, ILB & Secondary. Going into year 2 of McCloughan, I'm hoping he can improve the DL with 1 FA, improve ILB with 1 FA not named Compton or Foster because I truly believe both guys are ST's & back up quality and 1 FA in our secondary, preferably a safety. Then focus on the draft. Having said that, the money being distributed right now for such players is crazy.

If you post on here, be ready to take some flack from some of the old timers who believe everything they say. I think they sometimes forget this is an open forum for likewise fans to voice their opinions and suggestions for our favorite team. I usually don't post during games because more often than not, those are just emotional postings. I think we could all do a better job of agreeing to disagree at times rather than name calling as some of you do. Look, none of you are any smarter than anyone else, you have no GM skills, most have no football coaching experience and if you do, its not above the youth level and none of you have a stake in how money is spent by the franchise, so just relax already.

Enjoy the fact that finally, after years of turmoil, our team is finally heading in what appears to be the right direction. Improved drafting, improved talent, improved infrastructure has and will continue to trend us upward and I for one am finally enjoying this.

why is it old timers CANT express their ideas in an "open " forum ? why is a " young " opinion suddenly better or worse then anyone else's ? geez anyone can express their opinion here but that doesnt mean others have to sit on their hands and not say anything

I'm just stating that when fans post on the forum, poster beware. We know who the "old timers" are that continue to put others down for their opinions or name call simply because someone's post is not in line with theirs. Who gives a crap!?

I remember a time (2012) when you and I were certainly on the same page regarding RG3. Well, that changed quickly however, you didn't tell me I was stupid or my opinion was garbage just because I remained an RG3 supporter. We sometimes see things differently and I'm ok with that. Dad, what do you think about the Skins looking at TE Vernon Davis? I'm an old school Maryland Fan as well and have always liked Davis but now, I think he falls outside the culture we are starting to create with inexpensive, young talent that we can develop. Maybe 5 years ago I would have been interested, now not so much.

at the right price it could be a decent move . paul and carrier are coming off injuries . but davis would need to have a stop gap contract

Pass Davis is washed up
