What about Buck Farmer?
Buck Farmer needs to move to the bullpen in Toledo and prove he can get someone out. They rushed him from low a ball way to fast.

I think Buck Farmer needs a tour through the Brewers' farm system

I don't want to see him in Detroit either.
I doubt we do see him unless he tears it up in AAA. The guy jumped from low a ball to the bigs... he wasn't that kind of talent to do that... Tigers rushed the shit out of him... He should have been in AA last year.

I was just talking to dougplayer and he said that Detroit should be signing an experienced pitcher from the Mexican League. Maybe Armando Gallaraga.

I am not expecting the world from the guy.. but his minor league stats suggest he is a hell of a lot better than he was last year in the MLB... you don't have bb/k ratio's, a sub 1 whip, and a career ERA of 2.48 in the minors if you don't have some legit talent.
I'm not writing him off. But sure looked like a guy that wasn't ready when I was watching.

He wasn't Mike Maroth in the minors but he was far worse than MM in the bigs.

He just turned 25... so he still has time.. but the Tigers need to keep him in the minors and let him work out of the pen. He isn't a major league starter. I have never seen a MLB team rush a pitching prospect in such a ridiculous way as Buck Farmer.... The kid had 18 starts in low A ball... and 1 in AA... then they throw him into the fire... It was a train wreck waiting to happen. No reason to do it at all. They could have signed a MLB vet if they were that desperate for help.. Farmer wasn't even on the 40 man.. they had to add him to it anyways.

Like Jake Thompson was.

Galarraga started 10 games for Pueblo last year. He also plays in a band. Looking at his stats....he better work harder on finding some gigs for his band.

Jake Thompson is going to be a stud... That trade for Soria is looking really shitty now... but if Jake Thompson ends up being what scouts think he will be... The Tigers gave up an above average bullpen arm in Knebel and a #2-#3 starter in Thompson... That may be the worst trade Dombrowski ever made.

Imo being 25 with only awful on your big league resume ain't good.

Maybe they can be relievers some day, we'll see. I just don't want to see this year. Saw enough last year.

They did sign Randy Wolf...

I have no confidence in Greene, Boyd, or Farmer as #5 starters if Sanchez goes down. (Fulmer, maybe). If Illitch is still in a WIN NOW mode....he better spend the money, or make a trade to bulk up his rotation. If it is Lincecum, Cliff Lee, or trading a position player for someone's #3 starter....sitting around expecting the first 3 names I mentioned to be saviors is not realistic.

I agree... I doubt Farmer ever becomes anything. Nothing he throws looks that great. He isn't as bad as his numbers look though... Not having the benefit of actually being slowly developed is a huge reason for his failure though... the guy pretty much skipped the most important level for a pitcher... AA.

Your opinion on the subject would matter if you were actually a Tigers fan and not a fucking troll that comes here to say stupid shit.
