I never said he wasn't a good shooter, and it was a nice block.

Still has nothing to do with him being pulled because he can't defend.

Oh I know, and Lue was correct to have him out since there was virtually no chance of the Cavs ending up back on offense on that possession.

Just wanted to give Love credit for 2 of the biggest plays in OT.

yah...Love did play well in OT- all though Kyrie just tore it up...he is finally looking like he is getting close to being back. the other night vs. Detroit he was making some of his patented- insane layups off the glass that look like they have no chance to go in but do---- first time i had really seen that this year- it was a good sign.

Lue has opened up the rotation to 9 guys...id wish he would add Mo or Andy as the 10th guy depending on the game.....

kyrie is shooting like under 30% from 3 right now--- over the first 4 years of his career he was a career like 40% 3 pt shooter--- so its obvious he has not been all the way back yet...but its getting there...i like what the Cavs are doing- they need to keep building up their endurance- the best way to attack Golden STate is to put pressure on them defensively and pushing the pace like this will help--- short term the defense may slide a little because the guys are tired- but long term they will get their wind up and just be better for it. I LOVE how Lue didnt call a time out last night and let the guys figure it out instead of babying them! This looks like a TEAM for the first time since its been put together besides just a few games against Boston i nthe playoffs last year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

like i said- with how the air has been cleared in the locker room, with the new ball movement, with the increased pace, and getting Love more touches where he is most effective--- i think Kevin Love is going to have a very very good 2nd half....cant wait!

no LeBron James team in history has ever scored over 110 points in 5 straight games and won those games---- pretty awesome how the up-tempo style is showing immediate results.

Another fun fact.
No LeBron James team outside of Miami has ever won a championship?

And why do you guys get so bent out of shape on any criticism?

If Whiteside blocks 10 shots, but then gets pulled because he can't make a FT,
I'm going to agree and say he needs to shoot better, not tell u what else he did in the game.

Lue said he wants to 10 player rotation -- but only used 9 in the rotation during last 3-4 games.

of course guys are taken out of games for different reasons all the time- whether its their free throw shooting- or going offense/defense....OF COURSE if you are going possession by possession- and have bigs like Mozgov and Thompson with their defensive abilities you are going to make that switch--- my point was- that Love actually played very good D that game- and for the most part on the season- the numbers backup that Love has played D that is at LEAST average to slightly above...

@WiggyRuss

Over the first two months of the season, Miami’s defense allowed over eight more points per 100 possessions with Whiteside on the court. That trend did a 180-degree turn in January, with the Heat allowing just 96.8 points per 100 possessions with Whiteside on the floor, and 102.7 points per 100 possessions with Whiteside off the court. That figure with Whiteside on the floor would have led the NBA in January.

In the 43 fourth-quarter minutes Whiteside played in January, Miami allowed just 86.5 points per 100 possessions.

Good to see. He's going to be a big part of the turnaround of the Lakers next season.

He barely played a season in the NBA. As I said before he is learning daily. People would start taking you seriously about Whiteside when you stop talking about him like he's some 8th year veteran.

who's fault is it that he was not in the NBA?

you know it- it was no one's fault but his own. That is scary.

Still missing the point. If you're dumb enough to not realize that he is getting better and learning daily in each game he plays, I don't know what to tell you.

What does that have to do with how much experience he has?
i didnt realize he was not playing basketball the last- 4 years?

and seriously- if a year in you still are allergic to passing the ball on that level...i mean cmon.

If the Lakers pay DeMar DeRozan and Whiteside big money they will not win anything for the next decade +.

You haven't answered the question. What does that have to do with how much experience he has? He is essentially a rookie and you keep talking like he's some veteran.

And what does DeMar DeRozan or the Lakers have to do with you expecting Whiteside to play like he's been in the league 7 years when he's essentially a rookie? Neither one were part of the conversation.

But then, deflection is what you do.

well was he NOt getting experience playing basketball overseas? do they not pass there? I am sorry- i am not going to give a guy a pass for his lack of experience- when he has a lack of experience because he was a shit head- and he WAS playing in every podunk league overseas he could find.

I don't think they would expect to win titles with that tandem. It is just to get them going in the right direction in order to build a title contender.

You're way too concerned about his passing numbers for a center. Are they low? Yes? Do I care? Hell no

Then you just continue to show that you have no clue. It doesn't matter why he doesn't have much experience. The fact is that he doesn't. Whether he was a late bloomer physically or mentally, doesn't matter and doesn't change his level of NBA experience. Playing in podunk leagues overseas doesn't equal NBA experience either. The level of play in most conferences in college is better than what's in some of those overseas leagues.

Whatever his issues were that kept him out of the league appear to be a thing of the past, so now he's getting experience and seems to be starting to fulfill his potential.

Expecting a guy who is basically a rookie to perform like a veteran is just stupid, regardless of the reason for his inexperience.

Wiggy is stupid. This is a well known fact on this board
