well ritz if he isnt the qb of our future i entreat you to find a better qb to gamble on

yes the skins and KC have things to prove but i am all ears for the name of a better option

Hey I truly hope he is our answer at QB. Even if he is the starter shouldn't we still try to draft a backup QB in say the 4th round?

I think this statement that KC didn't beat a team with a winning record is overblown. First, we didn't play the many teams with winning records and those that we did were some of the best teams in the league. Second, it takes an entire team to win. Finally, the reason why we lost to those teams was rarely KCs performance. He played ok in most of those games.

Agree. The only two games that fall into that category where I would question Cousins would be the Jets & Falcons games. He made some major mistakes in those games (perhaps also with some blame going to his teammates). However - that was towards the beginning of the season when he was still learning. He also had basically no running game during that time.

They were actually pretty competitive during the Panthers game until that awful call against Culliver. Cousins also did pretty well against the Pats but his teammates let him down by dropping numerous passes. Cousins also didn't do too bad against the Packers where again they basically had no running game.

Forget the stats - watch his actual play on the field during the latter half of the season. Unlike any recent Redskins QB he showed poise in the pocket, made excellent decisions & had the ability to see the whole field. Many Cousins haters (e.g Stephen A the moron Smith) will pt out things only based on results without actually watching his play of the field. Trust me - I was kind of against the guy until very recently.

Now this could always turn out poorly in future seasons, but I really doubt it & see no reason why anyone would say Cousins is not the Redskins future QB. Do people only believe that guys drafted in the 1st round are worthy of this title unless they win a few SBs?

I might consider taking a QB, but it would be because the league showed this year that if you dont have depth at every position, you dont have depth enough to survive a season. Now would I take a guy in the top three rounds?? Probably not. But if a guy with the skill set to run our offense was there in 4-7, I might be tempted depending on what else was still on the board when we pick. A contributor now might out weigh a backup QB. But if the toss is between a guy who can be developed as a long term #2 QB/ possible trade bait, and a guy who might make the practice squad, I might lean towards the QB as Colt McCoy is a year to year option at this point at best.
