Dude, Im just trying to put it into context. Gruden did what coaches are supposed to do. Play the guy that gives his team the best chance to win games. Contract, draft position, skin color, or endorsement ratings SHOULD not matter. Sure Gruden and Griffin had issues.

Gruden wanted a QB who could run his offense, Griffin thought he was Gods gift to the position and figured all he needed to do was step onto the field and let every one witness his magic.

Fact.. two coaches have now deemed him as NOT anything more than an option QB.
Fact.. Griffin pushed the point that he wanted to be a pocket passer and failed at it.. twice.

Sure he can come back and try and prove Gruden was wrong to give up on him. But from what we have seen, his safest bets are to go sit behind Romo, or go where ever Chip Kelly lands. Because unless he magically learned to read defenses, throw the ball away, audible, and for GOD sake slide..... I see a less controversial Mike Vick story in his future.

You made a mountain out of a mole hill. All I was saying was RG3 would love a shot at showing Gruden he was wrong. It doesn't matter what the circumstances were/are or whatever. It was a simple statement of what I think RG3 would like to do. I think anyone would feel the same in the same situation.

I actually agree. I'm sure RG3 would like to show a lot of people they were wrong. Which is why I don't see him going to dallas or any other team with an established starter. He is going to chose a team where he comes in as the #1.

I get what you are saying. And I can see why he would feel that way. But bottom line is Gruden wasnt wrong. If Griffin was as capable as he and some others seem to think, he would be starting right now. So it might be that Griffin proves he could improve and become more than an option QB in time. But if Griffin goes to another team, they set up the offense to his skill set and he does well. Even beating the Redskins in a game where he is playing like he did in 2012..... that still proves nothing more than that he is an option QB that isnt situated to run the offense Gruden or Shanahan for that matter wanted to run.

What issues, besides RG3's play, did they have? Please provide facts, not your opinion.

It was pretty obvious they had a rocky relationship.

I don't think such a team exists. RG3 looked like utter shit the last few times he was in a competitive game. He'll have to walk into a crazy bad situation to just be the starter off the bat.

Cleveland comes to mind depending on who the coach is. IF he is released, he will want to go some place where he is either the day one starter, or at least competing for the job. I could see Dallas because its home for him and Jerry would pony up just to irritate Dan.

Put yourself in RG3s shoes. You won a Heisman, you won OROY. You lead the Skins to the playoffs, but got hurt along the way. Rehabbing put you behind in your development as a NFL QB and then a season of turmoil, more injuries etc. You are named starter and then lose your job after getting a "concussion" during preseason game. Of course you might feel like things didn't break your way and there's still a future for you as a starting QB elsewhere. I'd like to imagine he feels this way anyway. Anyone with any type of pride and competitiveness should. But on the flipside he should have been humbled along the way and saw from Kirk's example what it takes to bounce back. Hell Kirk got demoted to 3rd string at one point last year and was a walking INT. He SHOULD want another chance to prove everyone, especially Gruden wrong. That's all I am sayin...

I did think of Cleveland, although will they want the circus that signing RG3 brings after going through some Johnny Football drama? They cleaned house so maybe they try it. There's some talent on offense there, especially if they get a focused Josh Gordon back.

Yeah, the Rams would be the finishing touch on the RG3 drama IMO. I could see Fisher making the play and he prefers run heavy offenses.

As for their relationship, I disagree. Or maybe the better way to say it is you and I aren't privy to their daily interactions to draw that conclusion. But his teammates are and some have reported that there doesn't seem to be any animosity between them.
As for potential landing spots, there are quite a few that are looking for their starting QB. I've always thought Houston could be that place. Hoyer is a placeholder. The jets are another. And philly could be depending on what they do with Bradford.

I've stated in the past I think Houston makes a lot of sense, but someone else pointed out (was it you?) that BOB might have googly eyes for Hackenburg in this draft and that makes a lot of sense too

Would he love to prove people wrong? Of course he would. But he won't because he isn't very good.

I would love to see him go to Cleveland because he would be horrible. Can you imagine RG3 in the cold with his little hands and propensity for fumbling? I think the most realistic place for him to land is Houston. He would have a great WR to throw to and he would be playing indoors.

As for the Rams, it would be interesting if they move to LA and get RG3 but I don't see it happening. Fisher does love run heavy offenses but RG3 is not McNair. McNair was tough...not fragile. He was also overrated.

Was me. I don't know that it is a lock. BOB has experience with Hack and should have a clue how good he could be. Unless Hackenburg is a combine monster and soars up the board then Houston might get him for a 2nd or later. Just a thought. Hack has a big arm, it just depends on who thinks he has the other intangibles or if he doesn't have them now can he acquire them.

my do we have short memories

how many times has romo come back from say a rib breaking through his damn lung and playing but silence was the word in dallas

how about phillip rivers tearing an ACL before the playoffs and playing a playoff game with one ? silence yet again

please show me where having that injury (ACL) somehow affected RG3's ability to sit in a film room and study some tape ? must have been a doozy causing an ass fracture and a tear of the eye lids to keep him out of the film room like that

it is complete BS to forget his AD campaign about " all in for week one " and say that RG3 was forced at gunpoint to play before he is ready

look at simple tape of RG3 . he cant read the blitz very well , he doesnt trust his reads and missing tons of open WRS . he has no feel for the pocket , and he holds the ball way too long .

at this point in his career he cant function as a pro pocket passer and his body cant take the pounding to run an offense that uses read option plays

perhaps a year of sitting will help if he took advantage of learning the mental side of the game . if he was just a workout warrior at this time then he will be the same

Very well said Dad.

I heard yesterday the word from the Griffin camp is Dallas is his first choice. I guess he sees Romo's clock ticking and as Blaze said no doubt he wants to stick it to the Redskins. Yeah, good luck with that.

The most overrated person in your response is Fisher. Still leaning heavily on that one SB appearance & coaching in spite of his terrible recent track record.

Fisher never won co-MVP.

That season, the Colts and the Titans were both 12-4 but the Colts won both games, manning had 1,000 passing yards more, and their QB ratings were within one of each other.

If you are referring to McNair I choose to leave that one alone. I really felt bad for the guy & his tragic death and respect what he did during his time in the NFL. RIP.

He was a good football player that wasn't the MVP. I don't find his death that tragic in comparison to anybody else's. I do hope he RIP.

Kirk cousins wasn't very good 3 months ago. He was a 3rd stringer at one point last year. People can change and improve. Not saying RG3 will, but it's pretty early to write him off completely. I learned that myself with my opinions on Kirk.
