Normally I don't root for MSU but since its Team SEC and Alabama for that matter I'll pull for them and the rest of the B1G. I do think they match up well with the one dimensional offense of Alabama. MSU 20 Alabama 16.

I won't lie, I have major reservations about projecting a Spartan win. I don't know how well Cook's shoulder will heal, and I see no scenario where MSU can run the ball against Bama's front 7 and put many points on the board.

That said, this isn't the same MSU team that barely beat Purdue while playing 5 guys out of position on the offensive line. It's not the same MSU team that barely beat Michigan with 6 of their top 8 defensive backs injured, a safety playing corner, and three true freshmen at the other DB spots. We saw what they can do with a relatively healthy team against Ohio State, Penn State and Iowa ... holding each team to 14 points or less.

Not to try and change your mind, but if you found out that 79 yards separated the rushing and passing stats, would that change your mind about being one dimensional? Bama doesnt have a flashy QB, but their receivers were both first year starters and one was a true freshman and they still managed over 200 yards per game in passing stats with a dynamic runner like Henry.

I think MSU matches up well with Bama, their strength is the run and our strength defensively is the run defense. Assuming Cook's shoulder gets healthy this should be a great game. I think this will be low scoring just like the Iowa game, I definitely will take MSU if the spread remains around Bama -10.

Also, I have no beef with Michigan fans that are rooting for Bama, I would do the same thing if it were Michigan playing them.
