We're lucky the defense showed up today because the Chargers have more points than we do in the 2nd half, and they only have 3 points.

Hopefully these guys dropping like flies are able to rebound. Otherwise this may prove to be a costly win. Lots of bumps and bruises today. Hard fought win. Well, it will be if the Broncos hold on for it.

With the Patriots losing, we are back in the driver's seat for home field advantage. Rough outing for the Broncos with Davis, Trevathan, CJ Anderson and Bruton going down. Add in Sly Williams and TJ Ward and we're pretty vulnerable all of a sudden.

^ Yup and a decent, not great but decent Raiders team visiting next week. Maybe we'll get Ware back this week.

The good news is the Broncos held the Chargers scoreless in the 2nd half. The bad news is the Broncos were held scoreless in the 2nd half. No mater: that game is in the books. 10-2.

Hopefully our guys are able to get back on the field next week.

2 sacks by Miller, 1 by Shaq, and 1 by Shane Ray. That's what I love to see out of this defense.

And the Pats pull within a TD but still lose. Lose by 21 or by 7 and you still lose. The Broncos, Bengals, and Pats all 10-2. Great day for football.

Not sure yet, Randy. No word yet. Some concussion protocol. I don't recall the other injuries. I think the injury report will be out Tuesday and hopefully it's not as bad as it appears from here.

Bottom line: injuries happen and it's a lot better to win a game like this than lose it. And to see the Pats drop one too just makes it better. The Bengals are in front of us in the playoff seeding but the Pats are now in our rear-view mirror. That tilt with Cincy looms large.

The opening drive was a thing of beauty - and I loved some of the offensive calls that Kubiak pulled out ie the end around to Caldwell

The pass rush smothered Rivers all game long - you could see on their opening drive that it was going to be a long day for Rivers

On the other hand:

- Colquitt and Schofield were noticeably bad again

- Antonio Gates has thrown in the towel
