Same year, yes, but different times. The first was OTA's, and the second was training camp. Lacy admitted to eating too much fast foods between that time and gained a fair amount of weight.
They were both from his rookie season. He's always been big.

I get he's been a bigger back.

Yes, I've already said they were from a few years ago.

The fact remains, he's admitted to gaining weight, and not keeping on top of his playing weight and his food choices.

It's clear, also, even to those of us who may not watch GB all the time, that he's bigger than he has been in the past.

He just needs to get back to working hard, and dropping some weight. He'll bounce back.

Those were taken the same year... The second picture is of a bad angle. Nice try though
I enjoy reading your posts. As a lifelong Packers fan I think Lacy is overweight, I'm rooting for him big time , his story is great. He's had a lot of hardships in life and I desperately wish him success, that being said right now he's hurting the team and I don't think it's just a bad ankle. Our offensive line has been overrated for some time now. Bulaga isn't the same player and Bakhtiari has looked good either. On top of that I seriously question the blocking schemes the last few games. Just an unbelievable amount of rushers getting through the middle with no one there to pick them up. Terrible scheming by the coaching staff. Some missed blocks but some horrendous schemes and mixed blitz pickups.

My point is that people always use that picture to show how fat he's gotten when that picture was taken his rookie season. A lot of people keep using that picture as an example when it's not accurate.

Agreed. They could literally show any pic taken this year and make the same point.

Lacy could definitely lose some weight though. He looks pretty flabby in some recent pics. I think if he really worked out and was in an AP/Lynch type condition he'd shred. You can be 225 lbs and super fit and then 225 lbs and a lard ass. Muscle does weigh more.

When you start having to defend your weight in the media...chances are there have been some private conversations about it.

Lacy needs to drop some weight if he plans on getting a 2nd contract in GB.
Luckily for him he's active enough that just changing up his diet could help drop his weight pretty quickly (relatively speaking). At this level with nutritionists, physical trainers, etc. the only thing keeping him from being at his goal by the playoffs is himself.

Plus, I remember an interview when he as at Alabama, I think it was when he started to show a little promise.
He said he 'does not even really like football, he just plays because he's pretty good at it.' or something to that effect.

Just heard it reported today on 107.5 FM the Fan out of Green Bay. They were quoting Green Bay Packer's reporter and writer Rob Demovsky. they basically stated that Lacy was weighing in at approximately 260 lbs. and the organization wanted him around 235 lbs. If you combine an injured ankle, 25 extra pounds and a overrated offensive line who were never very good at short yardage power blocking .... presto you have an underperforming running back who goes from starter to the guy giving Starks some rest.

I'm rooting for the him but he's got to lose some weight and start running with some authority. I will go on record to say I was the first one to point out he was carrying way too much weight. One of the photos if Lacy this year and last year told the story. He's played with a gimp ankle but after three or four weeks that is no longer a legitimate excuse, plus he's had three fumbles in less than ninety carries.
He'd be good in the OL.

If I remember right that 2nd photo was actually from his rookie season and was just a terrible angle. Now though that is what he looks like in almost every single photo

Might want to remember this guy....

If you forgot, just take a look in Canton, you'll find him there...

I think he is in the high 240s right now. He needs to get down to the 220-25 range.

Why has he declined so much? I mean does he not care anymore? Does he want out of Green Bay? What?
