set it up in the spring in LA! i take the bar in February! give us a few months to train.....or better yet... all of SportsHoopla meet in Las Vegas for March MAdness to witness what would be my ultimate destruction of the old man. !!!!!!! March MAdness would be perfect as I am taking time off after the bar to just kick it for a while. MWAHAHAHAHHAHA

I am 6 foot and one half inch- just little less than 6' 1".....somewhere between 198 and 204 usually....early 30's.....after the weigh in the odds would SWING HEAVILY IN my favor believe me....

What was your reasoning for losing in the Finals again?

Mmmmmkay. Bye Felicia!
id rather use the excuse of being hurt for losing in the Finals- then use it for winning 37 games and being bitched by the Boston Celtics. lol.

That's for clarifying to us that 6 foot and one half inch is just a little less than 6'1".
We certainly couldn't have known that on our own.

That's Cleveland/loser mentality.
The 2 Heat Finals losses that occurred during the Big 3 era hurt badly, regardless of reason, because it was an opportunity lost and those opportunities don't come around very often.

You might THINK you are penciled into the Finals every year, while James is there, but you won't be.
Watch and see.

2015-16 NBA Preview: Have The Heat Moved On From LeBron?

This is an article from fivethirtyeight.com....i doubt there are many people here that pay attention to politics- but if anyone does they would know who Nate Silver- and he is the guy that runs the site and forms many of the models and statistical analysis that they use in their articles- which are usually very heavily stats based- which comes as no surprise if you know Nate Silver....

While I disagree with them that the Heat will only win 38 - He is clearly more on my line of thinking that they are an old, slow team, with poor 3 pt shooting, poor perimeter defense, and a mash of individuals that really dont play a style thats conducive to winning in todays NBA.

There blurb on Wade:

We’re inaugurating our NBA player projection system, CARMELO, with 2015-16 season previews for every team in the league. Check out the teams we’ve already previewed here. Learn more about CARMELO here.

The post-LeBron James era got off to a disastrous start last season for the Miami Heat, who endured a 37-45 campaign that was riddled with injuries and dumped the team outside of the playoffs for the first time in seven years. A potentially devastating offseason could have followed, but some semblance of order and continuity was restored when franchise anchor Dwyane Wade patched up differences with management and settled on a one-year, $20 million contract for this season. Point guard Goran Dragic signed a long-term deal. Promising center Hassan Whiteside continued to develop, and both Chris Bosh and Josh McRoberts are healed and healthy coming off season-ending maladies last year. All signs point to a Heat revival in the East and an opportunity, if the team stays relatively healthy, to stare down LeBron in the postseason.

FiveThirtyEight’s CARMELO, on the other hand, projects the Heat to go 38-44 and fall just below .500.

carmelo_depth_chart_heat.png
It figures that a projection system named after a member of the longtime rival New York Knicks would take such a low-blow shot at the Heat. So a year after hitting rock-bottom and winning just 37 games during an injury-ravaged season, Miami is projected to win only one more game? If so, expect a major shakeup for what has been one of the NBA’s most stable franchises.

Here are the CARMELO projections for Miami’s core players:

dwyane-wade.png
If Dwyane Wade had a million dollars for every game he missed last season — oh, wait. Evaluating Wade is all about vantage point. He’ll point to the fact that he was second in the league in usage rate last season, but skeptics counter that injuries prevented him from being used for at least 20 games for a second straight season. CARMELO expects Wade to be a shadow of his former self; his top comp, another great in the last chapter of his career.

actually you are right...Penciling in is not the correct term to use

PERMANENT MARKER IS.

I WILL GLADLY give you the field vs. the Cavs to make it to the Finals- but there is no way in hell you would have the balls to take that bet.

like the Heat losing ground to the BOSTON CELTICS to miss out on the playoffs and win 37 games despite having Wade, Dragic and Whiteside playing together down the stretch...you will find a way to make an excuse.

is Udonis Haslem REALLY still playing?

He won't have much of any type of role unless we have injuries. Last year of contract that he agreed to play for less by extending for the Heat to help clear cap space.

He's started the preseason games, but Whiteside finally played in the scrimmage tonight.

Maybe learn to read and comprehend.
Did I not just say that I could see the Heat finishing below .500 this year depending on all of the variables?
Did I not just say that the Cavs should be in the Finals THIS YEAR.

I also said you were wasting opportunities when you lose, regardless of reason because you won't be in the Finals EVERY year that James is there.
You better win IT ALL this year, or your window won't be slammed shut, it won't be open near as wide starting next year.

And as far as having no balls, I tried to accept a bet that YOU proposed, even offered 3-2 odds, and you still refuse to take it. So take that shit somewhere else.

we need some sponsors though....

by March Jimmy Buss could be in major trouble....anything we could donate to the search for a competent Lakers General Manager could potentially go a long way to returning you guys to mediocrity instead of getting sloppy seconds at Staples with the Clips in the building!

the only way I think the Heat will have a losing record is if Bosh has a reoccurence of the Blood clots or sits out a large amount of time. IF Wade gives you guys 60 games like last year you have to be thrilled- i dont think anyone out there is expecting a Dwade that plays in 70-75 games and plays at the level he used to

and I am glad you acknowledged you would take the Cavs over the field in the East. :) glad we could agree on something

Like I said, on paper, healthy and whole, of course they should beat any team in the East 4/7, but 82 games are played between now and then and shit happens.
Whoever thought OK City wouldn't be a playoff team last year?
I never think things will be best case or worst case, things tend to even out.
You evaluate the Cavs like it's coast city until May and then kick it into gear.
It doesn't quite work that way.
All of your current injuries combined with whatever others occur during the year combined with James pacing himself might leave you as a much lower seed then you are projecting.

As far as the Heat, they will be above my projection if Whiteside is as good as I hope he is and will be under if he isn't.
I think his presence is that important.

all though- from what I heard Wade was a little PO'd about his contract this offseason- and took a one year deal in part because the Heat offered him the most money to take a 1 year offer annually- BUT- of course with how the cap is going up- especially if he exceeds expectations this year- ESPECIALLY health expectations- with how teams have to get over a salary minimum- guys that really really dont deserve it are going to get big money.

I mean- I Am sorry Tristan Thompson-----

Even at this stage of their careers- if I have to give a guy 3 years 51 million- which is what Thompson wants- ID still rather give that to Dwade--- (obviously the cap gymnastics are not probable to have that happen)...but it just illustrates the point that guys are going to get PAID this offseason- and if Harrison Barnes is turning down 16 ayear and Tristan Thompson is turning down 16 a year...WTF is Dwade gonna get if he puts together a big season in a contract year? And how much would he turn down to come back to Miami? How big would the gap have to be between an offer from another team and Miami for Wade to hightail it out of there?

will be FASCINATING to see next offeason........next offseason when these deals start flying is when i will be SUPER HAPPY that Kyrie and K Love will be making like a combined 35 million next year.
